Clearly I’m not the only one who loves a good writing utensil (and Target card) as this giveaway reached our 10,000 entry cap within just 24 hours. Nice work team! So that means we get to crown a winner early. That lucky writer is… Heather F (who “writes notes on the back of envelopes and then loses them. Argh.”) Congrats Heather!
This sounds kinda weird, but I’m very particular about my writing tools. So when the folks at Pilot noticed that we tend to write with their products, they wanted to thank us by passing some freebies along. But you know we don’t take them, so we’re paying it forward in the form of a $500 prize to one of you. Now, before you start figuring out what the heck you’re gonna do with $500 worth of pens – let me stop you. While they’ll keep your hands busy with a variety of pens and highlighters (even some erasable varieties) they’re also gonna let our lucky winner pick out $150 worth of Levenger notebooks and organizers (since we could all use a little organization this time of year). Oh, and to round out the $500 prize, how does a $200 Target gift card sound? That way you can pick up any other items you need to get 2013 off to a productive and organized start.
- PRIZE: An assortment of Pilot products plus $150 towards the Levenger notebooks of your choice and a $200 Target gift card (total value $500).
- TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “PILOT ME!” and tell us…
- BONUS QUESTION: … your favorite way to take notes or scribble down a message. Do you always keep a ballpoint pen in your pocket or purse? Do you swear by pencils so that you can erase your misspellings? Or are you 100% digital and prefer to rely on phone apps and voice memos to keep you organized?
- GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, January 16th at 8pm EST or at 10,000 entries (whichever comes first)
- NUMBER OF WINNERS: One
- PRIZE SHIPS: We always beg every vendor to ship internationally but some companies are not legally able to vend things beyond specific areas (more on that here). This giveaway is open to the United States and Canada.
- USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winner will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday as an update to this post. That’s right, come right back here on Thursday for the announcement of our winner. Good luck…

Note: We aren’t paid or perked for hosting these giveaways, we just do ‘em to thank you awesome folks for stopping in. See our Giveaway FAQ page for more info. Pics courtesy of

PILOT ME! My favourite way to take notes is with a ball point pad and mini notebook, but realistically if I want to remember the note I’m making I need to make a reminder on my blackberry with an alarm. Note very exciting. Maybe some new notebooks and fancy pens would help my memory!

I LOVE post it notes and planners! I use a planner for most things- lists, appointments, phone numbers, addresses, store hours, lists of projects I am working on, I scribble down measurements of windows, work and personal items alike.
I’m finally down to one planner because I used to have one for work and one for personal and one for medical and one for house and one for school and blah blah blah – it was all too much. I’m reigning in the OCD.
Erin says
PILOT ME! I’m left-handed, so I really appreciate a good pen with ink that dries quickly to avoid the lefty smear across the page. Pilot pens are the best!

PILOT ME.
I love post it notes. They are everywhere. I must go through a post it pad a week. I have the worst memory so if I dont write it down, I will for sure forget. I also have a go to pen, it writes so smooth that I take it everywhere. When I leave work, it goes directly in my purse.
Victoria says
PILOT ME!!! I’m very picky about my pens also, so I always keep some in my purse and around the apartment! This is an awesome giveaway, I love stationary! Thanks guys! :)

PILOT ME!!!! I’ve always loved Pilot pens, especially since they keep the “left-handed smear” to a minimum. And they have lots of great colors for the OCD in me to color coordinate different tasks, entries on the calendar, doodles in the margins….

Carin Young says
PILOT ME!!! I’m the queen of notebooks and binders. When I start a new project I get out a new on and label it, but my fab writing too is a smooth writing medium width ink pen for most jobs; however , when I’m working on something creative I like to turn to my old trusty #2. Something about returning to childhood helps my creative process.

PILOT ME! PILOT ME!! PILOT ME!!!
Love to doddle and my favorite pens are by Pilot! I use them nonstop and would much rather use an ink pen than a ballpoint, and fountain pens are the absolute best. I usually don’t win things, but I wished three times, so maybe…
Kathleen says
Pilot Me! I prefer a good old pen and notebook. I love the Pilot G-2! I discovered them in high school and they are my favorite! This is the first year that I have switched to a planner on my phone instead of a paper-planner. I’m not sure how I feel about it…
