Fab Freebie: This Giveaway Sucks

***This giveaway is no longer accepting entries***

Literally- it does. Hear me out for a minute. A couple of weeks ago we posted about our new Bissell vacuum, which virtually swept us off our feet (and actually sucked stuff off our floors). Well, thanks to the magic of the Interweb, that post actually caught the eye of the kind folks over at Bissell and after a few emails back and forth… tah dah! We managed to sweet talk them into a YHL giveaway. So now one lucky reader gets the chance to win their very own Bissell Cleanview Helix Bagless Vacuum Cleaner to help them spruce up every nook and cranny of their casa. Nice, right?

Bissell Cleanview

We’re psyched that Bissell’s helping us share this HEPA-filterin’, 12-amp powerin’, multi-surface settin’, pet hair suckin’ and lightweight cleanin’ love with one of you. And if your house is home to a canine or a feline with a bit more fur than our bald-bellied Burger, this little bonus prize might come in handy too: they’re throwing in a Bissell’s Pet Hair Broom for our big winner as well.

Bissell Pet Broom2

Even if you don’t find yourself sweeping up much pet hair, the broom’s rubber bristles (which attract fur like a magnet) are retractable for your normal sweep jobs. So here’s how you can get your paws on this prize set which- thanks to the broom- technically doesn’t completely suck.

  • PRIZE: A Bissell 82H1 Cleanview Helix Bagless Upright Vacuum Cleaner and Pet Hair Broom
  • TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “CLEAN ME” and…
  • BONUS QUESTION: … tell us about any of your spring cleaning rituals that are already underway in your house (or any that you might be diving into soon). Getting the garden ready? Washing all the windows? Taking us up on our closet cleaning party? Spill it.
  • GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, March 10th at 8pm EST
  • NUMBER OF WINNERS: One
  • PRIZE SHIPS: Home to the world’s best and second-best hockey teams (that’s Canada and the US, fyi)
  • USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winner will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday. Good luck!

    CLEAN ME!

We have a 5 month old… so lots of projects underway! I’m going through all my old pre-maternity clothes, we are rearranging the living room to allow for more crawling room and less potential dangers for our little girl, plus the never ending storage of clothes our baby has grown out of. Its crazy how fast she’s growing!

I start my spring cleaning by sprucing up my front porch and back patio–planting spring flowers, refilling bird feeders, sweeping up, rearranging patio furniture, starting my patio garden, cleaning out the grill, and ending the day by drinking a few too many beers. That counts, right?

We have a little seedling garden that we’ve just started up. And the house spring cleaning will be starting shortly! The vacuum will definitely be handy for that! :)

Today, I began washing down the outside walls, cleaning the deck and washing out the kitchen storage sink that we have outside (which had rat poop, yuck).

CLEAN ME!! I’m so ready to clean up our yard! (Which unfortunately this awesome vacuum can’t help with…) We bought our house in July and there were so many things to tackle it was the most we could do to mow. I’m ready to plant flowers and veggies! Woo hoo!

    CLEAN ME

This vac and broom would be just what I need for my place. I just got a little chinese crested dog (the Powderpuff variety) right after Christmas and well she’s been shedding a lot more than I expected… but like any dog lover/owner I love her to bits, even when she does leave me some messy surprises! Anyway here’s hoping I get lucky with my first submission! BTW I love your blog, it’s the extra little kick in the but that I need to really get moving with my projects…

    Thank you!

I can’t wait for spring to get here so we can open up our windows and let some fresh air in! First thing on my list will be to clean out and organize ALL of our closets. We have gathered way too much stuff, and way too easily hide it all in closets.

    CLEAN ME! :)

While I was off visiting family in the cold Midwest, my husband got into spring mode here in the sunny south. He set up our new compost ring and rain barrel, and hopefully over the next week he’ll get my garden boxes put together. This will be our first year trying to grow our own veggies, which our family is very excited about.

We have started our 1st garden, and already ate some of the lettuce and radishes..so off to a GREAT start..However, clean-up from potting is messy..and that broom you have going on excites the heck out of me!! Not to mention, I have 4 miniature people (oh thats right, they are called dogs to some folks)and unfortunately they shed..so I am thinking the Vacuum would be awesome too!!!My vacuum is approx 14 years old, so this Bissell sounds like it would be the ticket for my situation.
