Fab Freebie: This Giveaway Sucks

***This giveaway is no longer accepting entries***

Literally- it does. Hear me out for a minute. A couple of weeks ago we posted about our new Bissell vacuum, which virtually swept us off our feet (and actually sucked stuff off our floors). Well, thanks to the magic of the Interweb, that post actually caught the eye of the kind folks over at Bissell and after a few emails back and forth… tah dah! We managed to sweet talk them into a YHL giveaway. So now one lucky reader gets the chance to win their very own Bissell Cleanview Helix Bagless Vacuum Cleaner to help them spruce up every nook and cranny of their casa. Nice, right?

Bissell Cleanview

We’re psyched that Bissell’s helping us share this HEPA-filterin’, 12-amp powerin’, multi-surface settin’, pet hair suckin’ and lightweight cleanin’ love with one of you. And if your house is home to a canine or a feline with a bit more fur than our bald-bellied Burger, this little bonus prize might come in handy too: they’re throwing in a Bissell’s Pet Hair Broom for our big winner as well.

Bissell Pet Broom2

Even if you don’t find yourself sweeping up much pet hair, the broom’s rubber bristles (which attract fur like a magnet) are retractable for your normal sweep jobs. So here’s how you can get your paws on this prize set which- thanks to the broom- technically doesn’t completely suck.

  • PRIZE: A Bissell 82H1 Cleanview Helix Bagless Upright Vacuum Cleaner and Pet Hair Broom
  • TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “CLEAN ME” and…
  • BONUS QUESTION: … tell us about any of your spring cleaning rituals that are already underway in your house (or any that you might be diving into soon). Getting the garden ready? Washing all the windows? Taking us up on our closet cleaning party? Spill it.
  • GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, March 10th at 8pm EST
  • NUMBER OF WINNERS: One
  • PRIZE SHIPS: Home to the world’s best and second-best hockey teams (that’s Canada and the US, fyi)
  • USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winner will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday. Good luck!

We just moved into a new house, with brand new carpet. Of course, brand new carpet sheds a lot at the beginning and our vacuum has been working overtime. But… it doesn’t have an attachment & our stairs have been screaming, “CLEAN ME!” I already told my husband we should get this Bissell.

Most of our spring cleaning is relating to the yard right now since the snow finally melted–pruning the apple trees, turning the compost, etc.

We are cleaning out closets, drawers, and the garage to make more room and donate everything we no longer need. We usually donate about 10-12 boxes a year between us and some friends.

“CLEAN ME” I am starting to really get spring cleaning and that usually gets me motivated to clean, organize, and purge so that when the nice weather starts, I can head outside and work in the yard and garden! I live in SE MN, so we have alot of snow to melt, but it has hit 40′ twice now in the past week!! Yeah!!! Can’t wait for spring!

I’m tackling the fun task of wiping down all of the baseboards and crown molding and ‘refreshing’ the wood floors that look very un-shiny after a very snowey/salty Chicago winter.

CLEAN ME! Seems like every weekend is a sweeping/vacuuming weekend at our house, what with the dog hair tumbleweeds that seem to sprout up throughout the week. For “spring cleaning” I really do intend to clean out the closets…the next few weekends are very busy with fun things though, so the cleaning may get pushed back! :o)

CLEAN ME – I am expecting baby number 2 on April 5 which means I am taking spring cleaning to a new level this year. In addition to washing all of the little onsies etc. and cleaning and decorating her room, I have become a bit of a nesting/cleaning freak when it comes to the rest of the house.

What a fabulous giveaway! My wire-haired Jack Russell sheds so much in the spring- I am going to have to check out that broom! This spring we are doing a major basement cleaning… donating/consigning/hand-me-down-ing baby & kid clothes, craigslist-ing furniture and that doesn’t quite fit since we moved to a new space and organizing the closets. Tubs, bins, and baskets, oh my!

#1 on the list just happens to be going through last year’s warm weather clothes and seeing what no longer fits (hopefully too big, but all too frequently too small)… donating what we can and then hitting up the spring mall sales to replace what we need! #2-5 aren’t nearly as much fun though…

Just moved into a newly built house so I’m still developing what a good ol’ Spring Cleaning should entail, but it’s amazing how unorganized you can be when you started from scratch – how does that happen?? So right now everything that didn’t have an immediate home is shoved in the basement, screaming CLEAN ME! Might have to start there. :-)
