Fab Freebie: This Giveaway Sucks

***This giveaway is no longer accepting entries***

Literally- it does. Hear me out for a minute. A couple of weeks ago we posted about our new Bissell vacuum, which virtually swept us off our feet (and actually sucked stuff off our floors). Well, thanks to the magic of the Interweb, that post actually caught the eye of the kind folks over at Bissell and after a few emails back and forth… tah dah! We managed to sweet talk them into a YHL giveaway. So now one lucky reader gets the chance to win their very own Bissell Cleanview Helix Bagless Vacuum Cleaner to help them spruce up every nook and cranny of their casa. Nice, right?

Bissell Cleanview

We’re psyched that Bissell’s helping us share this HEPA-filterin’, 12-amp powerin’, multi-surface settin’, pet hair suckin’ and lightweight cleanin’ love with one of you. And if your house is home to a canine or a feline with a bit more fur than our bald-bellied Burger, this little bonus prize might come in handy too: they’re throwing in a Bissell’s Pet Hair Broom for our big winner as well.

Bissell Pet Broom2

Even if you don’t find yourself sweeping up much pet hair, the broom’s rubber bristles (which attract fur like a magnet) are retractable for your normal sweep jobs. So here’s how you can get your paws on this prize set which- thanks to the broom- technically doesn’t completely suck.

  • PRIZE: A Bissell 82H1 Cleanview Helix Bagless Upright Vacuum Cleaner and Pet Hair Broom
  • TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “CLEAN ME” and…
  • BONUS QUESTION: … tell us about any of your spring cleaning rituals that are already underway in your house (or any that you might be diving into soon). Getting the garden ready? Washing all the windows? Taking us up on our closet cleaning party? Spill it.
  • GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, March 10th at 8pm EST
  • NUMBER OF WINNERS: One
  • PRIZE SHIPS: Home to the world’s best and second-best hockey teams (that’s Canada and the US, fyi)
  • USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winner will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday. Good luck!

CLEAN ME – I have been purging my children’s rooms. We are in the process of putting up organizers in their closets and can’t wait to buy the nice little bins to organize their toys!
I shall too be organized, just you wait and see!

    Clean Me!

Oh prayers that I win. My kirby died. My spring cleaning always includes getting the carpets cleaned. I’m such a fan of off white carpet but we have 2 cats, 1 dog and 3 humans stomping around on it. Must have them cleaned.

    CLEAN ME!

Last year we purchased an old house with a really old electric stove. Aside from it not being gas, the worst part is that the food spills into the resevoirs below and needs to be scrubbed out. (And no, I am not in favor of covering them with tinfoil like my mother) Needless to say, I just couldn’t take it last week. I tore those discs out and went to town with some steel wool. Now they’re shiny and look like new. Can’t wait to tackle the rest of the house-I’m ready for spring!

My fiancee and I have been dating for 8 years and we are finally getting married this July 31st! I am moving into our first home together (a rental house) on april 3rd. The vacuum I have now is a hand me down and it really does not suck at all! I need a new vacuum to help me get my spring cleaning ritual figured out and make sure our first Home stays super clean! Thank you!

CLEAN ME! We are renovating our house so we can sell it and buy a bigger place that will fit a family. We haven’t had a shower since 2009 and last night…….I took my first shower at home in 2010. It was amazing. :-)
We also just adopted a puppy 3 weeks ago and could totally use that pet broom!
    Thanks!

I’ve never wanted to win something more! My rituals for spring involve a lot of diluted white vinegar in a spray bottle for all the windows – even the transoms. I also go where I dread going — but a new vac with handy tools might not dread any longer: the tops of all the kitchen cabinets.

    thanks.

They are notorius for shedding and with two cats already I had just checked your old post remembering how you had raved about this new vacuum. We will probably end up with this vacumm one way or another. Thanks for all your great tips.

I am the organizer, and that is what is underway currently. Filing all those papers and taxes and stuff. I am also purging…out with the old and in with the new!

Spring cleaning always involves making a big mess of the basement while re-organizing the rest of the house. If you don’t have a place for it upstairs it should go in the basement! So this year I plan to mend my ways and clean the basement for my spring cleaning! And believe you me I will be checking out your basement posts for a re-design for storage and organization! Thanks Sherry and John!
