Fab Freebie: This Giveaway Sucks

***This giveaway is no longer accepting entries***

Literally- it does. Hear me out for a minute. A couple of weeks ago we posted about our new Bissell vacuum, which virtually swept us off our feet (and actually sucked stuff off our floors). Well, thanks to the magic of the Interweb, that post actually caught the eye of the kind folks over at Bissell and after a few emails back and forth… tah dah! We managed to sweet talk them into a YHL giveaway. So now one lucky reader gets the chance to win their very own Bissell Cleanview Helix Bagless Vacuum Cleaner to help them spruce up every nook and cranny of their casa. Nice, right?

Bissell Cleanview

We’re psyched that Bissell’s helping us share this HEPA-filterin’, 12-amp powerin’, multi-surface settin’, pet hair suckin’ and lightweight cleanin’ love with one of you. And if your house is home to a canine or a feline with a bit more fur than our bald-bellied Burger, this little bonus prize might come in handy too: they’re throwing in a Bissell’s Pet Hair Broom for our big winner as well.

Bissell Pet Broom2

Even if you don’t find yourself sweeping up much pet hair, the broom’s rubber bristles (which attract fur like a magnet) are retractable for your normal sweep jobs. So here’s how you can get your paws on this prize set which- thanks to the broom- technically doesn’t completely suck.

  • PRIZE: A Bissell 82H1 Cleanview Helix Bagless Upright Vacuum Cleaner and Pet Hair Broom
  • TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “CLEAN ME” and…
  • BONUS QUESTION: … tell us about any of your spring cleaning rituals that are already underway in your house (or any that you might be diving into soon). Getting the garden ready? Washing all the windows? Taking us up on our closet cleaning party? Spill it.
  • GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, March 10th at 8pm EST
  • NUMBER OF WINNERS: One
  • PRIZE SHIPS: Home to the world’s best and second-best hockey teams (that’s Canada and the US, fyi)
  • USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winner will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday. Good luck!

I am such a neat freak that I don’t participate in spring cleaning because my house is always spic-n-span! I find that doing a little a day really pays off..what’s the saying?…a stitch in time saves nine. YES exactly! Thanks for the giveaway!

Clean Me! My spring ritual of clearing out closets has begun. The hardest part is parting with my children’s clothes so I make sure to take a snapshot of them in my favorites before donating them to the local thrift stores/shelters. I have quite a few other projects ready to go for spring break when I’ll have two weeks off from teaching and will have some time for playing around the house. :)

    CLEAN ME!

Spring cleaning was in full affect this past Saturday. I cleaned and dusted every corner. Next point of attack are our closets, well mine especially, there are so many clothes that I haven’t worn that need to be given away. I’m looking forward to the purge.

I just finished the kids’ closets and the coat closet. The biggest project for this spring is the 3rd bay of the garage – it has turned into the junk room. I can’t wait to begin. Would love a Bissell.

What an awesome prize and so perfect for us, my almost 15 month old and I. My son and I have found a new awesome game, vacuuming. He loves it. He loves to hold the hose and press the button. Because our vacuum sucks (hahaha…not in a good way) we spend a long time doing the same spot on the rug just to get the cat hair out. He even takes my hand and walks me over to the vacuum every morning. It is now our awesome spring cleaning task.

I hate spring cleaning but it has to be done. I like to clean out the closets and get ready for a new season. I live in south Florida so the season goes from hot to scorching and we must change the clothing accordingly. Plus make sure all the air-conditioner filters are clean and ready to go.

Clean Me! I wish I was washing all the windows! We bought a run-down house last year with an out of control overgrown yard, so we’ve been spending all our extra time tackling it so the whole lot will be usable this year. We need all the extra space with two grown collies and a german shepherd :)

    C-L-E-A-N MEEEE!!

At our house, the first thing we do is get our screens out of storage and clean them off. Spring cleaning just isn’t the same unless you’re able to (finally) open your window and let the spring air and sunshine in! There really is nothing like the smell of spring (y’know, it’s an indescribable scent that is just.. so.. SPRING). There’s no household cleaner or air freshener like it!

Our first home is tiny (910 sq. ft) but it had been fully renovated before we moved in last April. We have half hardwood and half carpet so the Bissell would be great! Also we are planning on getting a dog soon and the pet broom would also be great.

    !!!!CLEAN ME!!!!

Spring cleaning is definitely underway here. I weeded my garden just last week, and have it about 70% ready for planting. I’m planning cardboard and straw in the walkways, and mulching the raised beds themselves with straw. :)

I’m also going through my girls’ toys and clothes in a few days. I am getting a bin ready for charity, and re-organizing they’re clothes system. :)

…and I would love to win this vacuum. I am in desperate need of a new one! I bought a vacuum on clearance at Target right after we got married… 5 years ago. A week later we realized there is no way to control the level of the cleaner itself. I worry about it eating into my carpets all the time! :)
