Fab Freebie: This Giveaway Sucks

***This giveaway is no longer accepting entries***

Literally- it does. Hear me out for a minute. A couple of weeks ago we posted about our new Bissell vacuum, which virtually swept us off our feet (and actually sucked stuff off our floors). Well, thanks to the magic of the Interweb, that post actually caught the eye of the kind folks over at Bissell and after a few emails back and forth… tah dah! We managed to sweet talk them into a YHL giveaway. So now one lucky reader gets the chance to win their very own Bissell Cleanview Helix Bagless Vacuum Cleaner to help them spruce up every nook and cranny of their casa. Nice, right?

Bissell Cleanview

We’re psyched that Bissell’s helping us share this HEPA-filterin’, 12-amp powerin’, multi-surface settin’, pet hair suckin’ and lightweight cleanin’ love with one of you. And if your house is home to a canine or a feline with a bit more fur than our bald-bellied Burger, this little bonus prize might come in handy too: they’re throwing in a Bissell’s Pet Hair Broom for our big winner as well.

Bissell Pet Broom2

Even if you don’t find yourself sweeping up much pet hair, the broom’s rubber bristles (which attract fur like a magnet) are retractable for your normal sweep jobs. So here’s how you can get your paws on this prize set which- thanks to the broom- technically doesn’t completely suck.

  • PRIZE: A Bissell 82H1 Cleanview Helix Bagless Upright Vacuum Cleaner and Pet Hair Broom
  • TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “CLEAN ME” and…
  • BONUS QUESTION: … tell us about any of your spring cleaning rituals that are already underway in your house (or any that you might be diving into soon). Getting the garden ready? Washing all the windows? Taking us up on our closet cleaning party? Spill it.
  • GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, March 10th at 8pm EST
  • NUMBER OF WINNERS: One
  • PRIZE SHIPS: Home to the world’s best and second-best hockey teams (that’s Canada and the US, fyi)
  • USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winner will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday. Good luck!

    CLEAN ME!

I’m generally pretty tidy, but I spent the weekend giving my closets and dressers some seasonal TLC. I re-lined my dresser drawers, organized my jewelry and made sure that all my hanging garments were back in their color array. It’s a good way to welcome the new season and also take inventory of what I have before I get caught up in a shopping frenzy.

    CLEAN ME!!

This coming weekend, we’ll be purging extra clothing/unused items in our closets and making donations to Goodwill. After that, onto the basement and garage. We’re busy little bees this spring. My hubby thinks I’m a nut though, because I actually ENJOY cleaning! What can I say? I find it therapeutic and refreshing. :)

    CLEAN ME!

My boyfriend and I moved into a new apartment in January, so we’re having a housewarming party this weekend. Our “spring cleaning” is getting everything together we’ve been putting off since moving: making curtains, hanging art, de-cluttering the spare bedroom where we shoved all our empty boxes, and a surprisingly large amount more.

Every spring my daughter and I try on all the clothes in our closets and donate all the stuff that doesn’t fit or we don’t want. Its a great way to make space and we always discover things we forgot about! We do this with shoes and furniture as well. =)

    Thanks for a great giveaway.

My husband and I have two cats and rent a house that is 90% carpet! If you didn’t already know, carpet and pet hair do not mix. We’re hoping to buy our first place soon so we’ll be cleaning and packing this Spring! :)

Clean Me! We have been looking at buying a new Bissell (the only kind of vacs and steam cleaners we use!)…how great would this be to win it! We could still buy another and have one downstairs in the basement and one all the way up on the top floor. We are in the middle of a remodel…so Spring cleaning is everything in sight! This would be exactly what we need to keep everything in order! Thank you for the opportunity to win!

    CLEAN ME!!!!

Well, I can’t say I’ve ever spring cleaned (I move very frequently – the longest I’ve ever lived somewhere is 14 months), so the “deep cleaning” doesn’t really happen. But, something hit me on Saturday, and after waking up at 1 pm (oops…rough night Friday ;)), I decided I better accomplish SOMETHING during the remaining daylight hours…so I did a complete apartment sweep (minus the roomies room), and everything got vacuumed, swept, disinfected, washed, and organized and life feels better now :).

I am planning on doing some serious organization this spring. Closets, drawers, garage, the whole nine. However, I’m certainly not going to tackle this until Spring Break (I’m a teacher)…and I doubt that whole list will get accomplished. Oh well…I’ll give it my best shot!

We need help just keeping the house clean during all of our updating projects…so…puh-lease…CLEAN ME!! :)

I was actually very much inspired by your nursery (we’re planning on doing Green with neutral walls) and art by “Poor Dog Farm” http://www.etsy.com/shop/poordogfarm

    CLEAN ME!

This past weekend, we started clearing out our basement and sorting through the outgrown baby clothes (ALOT), toys (A TON) and just stuff that didn’t have a proper place. We have a fairly large garage, but I refused to just dump everything in there this time without sorting it. Most of the heavy work is done, but I’m enjoying it and find it somewhat rewarding, since I can see that I’ve accomplished something huge. Plus, we’ll be renovating the basement next month. Yay!

So I have a vacuum cleaner, and it’s actually 12 amps. This Hoover still does not suck though, which means I would gladly offer a replacement!

I’m in NC and a week of warm weather already has me looking at my closet going “Okay – I didn’t wear that this winter at all, it’s time to go to Good Will”. There’s already a stack a foot high ready to go. And I don’t know whether it’s the weather or what, but I’ve been a lot more into cleaning my floors. And the dog is getting a hair cut, that counts, right?
