Fab Freebie: This Giveaway Sucks

***This giveaway is no longer accepting entries***

Literally- it does. Hear me out for a minute. A couple of weeks ago we posted about our new Bissell vacuum, which virtually swept us off our feet (and actually sucked stuff off our floors). Well, thanks to the magic of the Interweb, that post actually caught the eye of the kind folks over at Bissell and after a few emails back and forth… tah dah! We managed to sweet talk them into a YHL giveaway. So now one lucky reader gets the chance to win their very own Bissell Cleanview Helix Bagless Vacuum Cleaner to help them spruce up every nook and cranny of their casa. Nice, right?

Bissell Cleanview

We’re psyched that Bissell’s helping us share this HEPA-filterin’, 12-amp powerin’, multi-surface settin’, pet hair suckin’ and lightweight cleanin’ love with one of you. And if your house is home to a canine or a feline with a bit more fur than our bald-bellied Burger, this little bonus prize might come in handy too: they’re throwing in a Bissell’s Pet Hair Broom for our big winner as well.

Bissell Pet Broom2

Even if you don’t find yourself sweeping up much pet hair, the broom’s rubber bristles (which attract fur like a magnet) are retractable for your normal sweep jobs. So here’s how you can get your paws on this prize set which- thanks to the broom- technically doesn’t completely suck.

  • PRIZE: A Bissell 82H1 Cleanview Helix Bagless Upright Vacuum Cleaner and Pet Hair Broom
  • TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “CLEAN ME” and…
  • BONUS QUESTION: … tell us about any of your spring cleaning rituals that are already underway in your house (or any that you might be diving into soon). Getting the garden ready? Washing all the windows? Taking us up on our closet cleaning party? Spill it.
  • GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, March 10th at 8pm EST
  • NUMBER OF WINNERS: One
  • PRIZE SHIPS: Home to the world’s best and second-best hockey teams (that’s Canada and the US, fyi)
  • USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winner will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday. Good luck!

We have 3 dogs, 2 cats and a grandpuppy that visits often…I am drooling over that broom! And the vacuum would keep the brand new Bissell steam cleaner we just got company in the closet – we might not even need the steam cleaner as often with a good vacuum! Seriously, I have been on a pre-spring cleaning kick for weeks, I am having back surgery next week and hubby the same two weeks later. I am cleaning everything!

Love the blog – you both have such great style it is inspiring me to spruce up the rooms in our house.

We are moving from an apartment into our first house in May so that is when the spring cleaning is going to hit, in our old place and new. Ugh.

My fiance and I are in the process of moving into our first house. I’m using it as a chance to clean out closets and get rid of things we don’t need anymore. Plus, I can’t wait for nice warm day to clean the outside windows.

The only spring cleaning done so far is opening up the windows to clear out the stale winter air! Spring weather hasn’t quite arrived in NH yet, but I’m itching for it.

I need that pet hair broom SO BADLY.

Our neighborhood has a gigantic neighborhood yard sale the first weekend in May, so every year my husband and I clean the entire house to get rid of everything we don’t need.

I am cleaning out my “closet” this week. Just moved to a new place, where my actual closet is 1/4 the size of my previous place, so I’ve been storing my extra clothing and shoes in suitcases and under-bed storage everywhere. It is TIME for a purge.

Before each season, I turn all my hangers so they hang backwards in my closet (hook facing out). After I wash/wear something, I put it back in my closet hanging the correct way. At the end of the season,I pack up and ship out anything that I didn’t wear that is hung with the hook facing out. I’m on the verge of purging my winter wardrobe as we approach spring!

I started “Spring” Cleaning about a month ago. I cleaned out our closet, and reorganized our kitchen cabinets and donated a lot of loot!! I would really love this vacuum and the broom. We have 2 lab/shephard dogs in the house which means vacuuming and sweeping DAILY! The job would be much better with the proper tools!

I never thought I would get so excited for a vacuum giveaway! I need it! I have a 1982 Hoover that was given to me by a friend who’s grandmother gave it to her. I have to give it to Hoover though, it still runs, but I think it spits more out than it sucks up.

My spring cleaning this year is going to be put on hold as I have a wedding exactly 2 months from today. As soon as it’s over I will be redoing the entire house. We will get rid of all the cheap stuff we have collected over the years and invest in higher quality, this is for a lifetime “stuff”. And there will be painting, lots of painting.

    Im really excited.

We love de-cluttering and ridding ourselves of stuff we really don’t need/use. So going through our clohtes cloests and making a clothing donation is something we try to do a couple times a year.
