Fab Freebie: This Giveaway Sucks

***This giveaway is no longer accepting entries***

Literally- it does. Hear me out for a minute. A couple of weeks ago we posted about our new Bissell vacuum, which virtually swept us off our feet (and actually sucked stuff off our floors). Well, thanks to the magic of the Interweb, that post actually caught the eye of the kind folks over at Bissell and after a few emails back and forth… tah dah! We managed to sweet talk them into a YHL giveaway. So now one lucky reader gets the chance to win their very own Bissell Cleanview Helix Bagless Vacuum Cleaner to help them spruce up every nook and cranny of their casa. Nice, right?

Bissell Cleanview

We’re psyched that Bissell’s helping us share this HEPA-filterin’, 12-amp powerin’, multi-surface settin’, pet hair suckin’ and lightweight cleanin’ love with one of you. And if your house is home to a canine or a feline with a bit more fur than our bald-bellied Burger, this little bonus prize might come in handy too: they’re throwing in a Bissell’s Pet Hair Broom for our big winner as well.

Bissell Pet Broom2

Even if you don’t find yourself sweeping up much pet hair, the broom’s rubber bristles (which attract fur like a magnet) are retractable for your normal sweep jobs. So here’s how you can get your paws on this prize set which- thanks to the broom- technically doesn’t completely suck.

  • PRIZE: A Bissell 82H1 Cleanview Helix Bagless Upright Vacuum Cleaner and Pet Hair Broom
  • TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “CLEAN ME” and…
  • BONUS QUESTION: … tell us about any of your spring cleaning rituals that are already underway in your house (or any that you might be diving into soon). Getting the garden ready? Washing all the windows? Taking us up on our closet cleaning party? Spill it.
  • GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, March 10th at 8pm EST
  • NUMBER OF WINNERS: One
  • PRIZE SHIPS: Home to the world’s best and second-best hockey teams (that’s Canada and the US, fyi)
  • USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winner will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday. Good luck!

I vacuum under all of our furniture in the spring and fall. I also take all the screens out of the windows and hose them down in the bathtub. They get so dirty!

CLEAN ME. Speaking of vacuming and spring cleaning, mine has been removing dog hair from EVERYWHERE. We have a golden retriever/australian shepard mix who is shedding her extreme amounts of hair to prepare for the warmer days. There is hair everywhere! I have to sweep one a day. And I have taken out almost all of the rugs in the house. She is only in the house about 2-3 hours a day. I feel too bad to never let her in, but MAN O MAN her hair is driving me crazy. I am really keeping my fingers crossed that this great prize comes home to help me. =)

Oh my, I’m doing some serious pre-spring cleaning. The BF and I are doing the big “moving-in” thing and I have to clean most of my apartment not only so my landlord doesn’t take my deposit but so that I don’t take junk to my new apartment. Wish me luck!

Seriously starting the spring cleaning rituals. I’ve already gone around the house and made the list. This weekend it was finishing the painting the nursery, and next it’s getting the closet in order for all the new baby clothes! After that….I may be going through my own closet and trying to determine what I’ll be ABLE to wear this summer! :) Thanks for the fab site! You guys are so inspiring!

CLEAN ME! Okay, I don’t have any really good reasons or ideas for spring cleaning, but I need this vaccuum. We have a wee mutt we rescued and he is adorable but sheds a TON! Now that my daughter is crawling my husband is done with the dog hair. Our poor vacuum cannot keep up. As of the end of the month, my little puppy is going to live with my parents. But… perhaps this SWEET vacuum might be able to keep up with the dog hair and save my little one from moving to grandma’s???? HELP!

We have been cleaning our house like crazy lately and packing up tons of stuff to donate. We try to make a major Goodwill drop off every spring. Through all our power cleaning, I’ve learned that our vacuum is not so powerful (at all). I’ve thought about asking for a new one for my birthday, but I just can’t bring myself to do that yet. :)

Oh my gosh, we need this so bad right now. I could make another dog with the amount of fur I sweep up weekly.

We’re putting off spring cleaning until we actually see some signs of spring! It’s still too cold and snowy in upstate NY to think about that. :)

Since this month marks the 1st year in the new house we are def in for some serious cleaning. The hubs has already begun with the basement, which we will hopefully be finishing. I hope to get the garden going too, we will see! Our landscaping is on the list. I must wash windows, organize basically everything in the entire house, and get my craft room going which is going to cut down on so much clutter in this place :)
