Fab Freebie: This Giveaway Sucks

***This giveaway is no longer accepting entries***

Literally- it does. Hear me out for a minute. A couple of weeks ago we posted about our new Bissell vacuum, which virtually swept us off our feet (and actually sucked stuff off our floors). Well, thanks to the magic of the Interweb, that post actually caught the eye of the kind folks over at Bissell and after a few emails back and forth… tah dah! We managed to sweet talk them into a YHL giveaway. So now one lucky reader gets the chance to win their very own Bissell Cleanview Helix Bagless Vacuum Cleaner to help them spruce up every nook and cranny of their casa. Nice, right?

Bissell Cleanview

We’re psyched that Bissell’s helping us share this HEPA-filterin’, 12-amp powerin’, multi-surface settin’, pet hair suckin’ and lightweight cleanin’ love with one of you. And if your house is home to a canine or a feline with a bit more fur than our bald-bellied Burger, this little bonus prize might come in handy too: they’re throwing in a Bissell’s Pet Hair Broom for our big winner as well.

Bissell Pet Broom2

Even if you don’t find yourself sweeping up much pet hair, the broom’s rubber bristles (which attract fur like a magnet) are retractable for your normal sweep jobs. So here’s how you can get your paws on this prize set which- thanks to the broom- technically doesn’t completely suck.

  • PRIZE: A Bissell 82H1 Cleanview Helix Bagless Upright Vacuum Cleaner and Pet Hair Broom
  • TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “CLEAN ME” and…
  • BONUS QUESTION: … tell us about any of your spring cleaning rituals that are already underway in your house (or any that you might be diving into soon). Getting the garden ready? Washing all the windows? Taking us up on our closet cleaning party? Spill it.
  • GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, March 10th at 8pm EST
  • NUMBER OF WINNERS: One
  • PRIZE SHIPS: Home to the world’s best and second-best hockey teams (that’s Canada and the US, fyi)
  • USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winner will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday. Good luck!

Clean me: That is what every thing in my house is saying to me. I take about 2 weeks every June and clean every room of my house. It is a dreadful job, but someone has to do it. However, my vaccum is falling apart. My husband had to saw down the handle yesterday and add two new screw holes to it. Therefore, I really need to win this PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am doing the most spring cleaning I have ever done since I just bought my first house so I am getting it ready AND cleaning out the rental that we have had for 5 years. I could definitely use a new vacuum!

I devoted an entire 2-year-old’s naptime to picking stuff up and returning little items to their “home” in our little house this weekend. Amazing how just getting the tiny little things back to where they belong unclutters your life!

Spring cleaning is always time to get the carpets cleaned. This has been a long winter with lots of snow this year. Extra dirt seems to have been tracked in this winter. Looking forward to warm weather and clean floors.

First on my list this spring is to clean and vacuum all of the baseboards in the house. I know I should do this on a more regular basis. But since my 10 month old learned how to crawl 2 weeks ago, I’ve got to get going on this one!

CLEAN ME!! I clean out my closet and get rid of the ones I don’t wear anymore and either sell them on consignment or give them away. This year, I am having a garage sale, so I will be doing extra cleaning/organizing this year to gather up stuff to sell.

I’m a neat freak, so our house is always tidy, but I love the spring because we get to tear the house apart and scrub it top to bottom. Windows, floors, stove, you name it, it gets the royal treatment!

I have two dogs (big ones – around 100 lbs each) and two cats so there’s LOTS of hair around my house. I know this all too well after vacuuming, steam-cleaning, and mopping almost every square inch this past weekend.

We’re in the process of spring cleaning, which to me mostly means getting rid of the flotsam and jetsam that have somehow infiltrated into our home. Getting rid of the crap makes it so much easier to clean and our home much nicer.

The big thing im doing right now is putting up my winter clothes and taking out all my summer stuff. I am also trying to weed out things I do not wear enough so they can go to charity. I would love this vacuum. You would be shocked at the amount of hair two chihuahuas can create!

I have two labs who loose tons of hair and this would be perfect for us since we just got laminate flooring a few months ago. As a mom of a 9 month old who’s crawling all over the place, this would really help me out!!

I also need to tackle some gardening this spring!

CLEAN ME!!!! Right now I am in the process of de-junkifying my spare room and spare room closet. It is where everything goes that doesn’t go anywhere else. That sounds silly, but it is true. There are craft supplies, wrapping supplies, spare stuff, stuff to give away, stuff to fix etc. Uugh! It is fun going through it all and letting go of the things I no longer need or love!

Outside my husband and I have started picking up the sticks, etc that fell on the lawn and garden area during the winter, sweeping the deck, get the grill out etc.

    So happy for spring!

I basically move every year, so that really helps with the Spring Cleaning. It’s shocking how much stuff a person collects, even when trying to live as simply as possible! This next move (at the end of the month) will hopefully be the last for a while, and a vacuum would be awesome in keeping our new place tidy.
