Fab Freebie: This Giveaway Sucks

***This giveaway is no longer accepting entries***

Literally- it does. Hear me out for a minute. A couple of weeks ago we posted about our new Bissell vacuum, which virtually swept us off our feet (and actually sucked stuff off our floors). Well, thanks to the magic of the Interweb, that post actually caught the eye of the kind folks over at Bissell and after a few emails back and forth… tah dah! We managed to sweet talk them into a YHL giveaway. So now one lucky reader gets the chance to win their very own Bissell Cleanview Helix Bagless Vacuum Cleaner to help them spruce up every nook and cranny of their casa. Nice, right?

Bissell Cleanview

We’re psyched that Bissell’s helping us share this HEPA-filterin’, 12-amp powerin’, multi-surface settin’, pet hair suckin’ and lightweight cleanin’ love with one of you. And if your house is home to a canine or a feline with a bit more fur than our bald-bellied Burger, this little bonus prize might come in handy too: they’re throwing in a Bissell’s Pet Hair Broom for our big winner as well.

Bissell Pet Broom2

Even if you don’t find yourself sweeping up much pet hair, the broom’s rubber bristles (which attract fur like a magnet) are retractable for your normal sweep jobs. So here’s how you can get your paws on this prize set which- thanks to the broom- technically doesn’t completely suck.

  • PRIZE: A Bissell 82H1 Cleanview Helix Bagless Upright Vacuum Cleaner and Pet Hair Broom
  • TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “CLEAN ME” and…
  • BONUS QUESTION: … tell us about any of your spring cleaning rituals that are already underway in your house (or any that you might be diving into soon). Getting the garden ready? Washing all the windows? Taking us up on our closet cleaning party? Spill it.
  • GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, March 10th at 8pm EST
  • NUMBER OF WINNERS: One
  • PRIZE SHIPS: Home to the world’s best and second-best hockey teams (that’s Canada and the US, fyi)
  • USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winner will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday. Good luck!

Ahh, spring cleaning… the fridge. I like it when it’s all nice and sparkly inside, and take the (dying…) vacuum to the back and dust out behind as well. We’re also about to prep and plant for our garden! Amazingly, our parsley made it through the winter, but we’re looking forward to some fresh eggplants and peppers this year.

My must-do includes a thorough closet clean-out. I have a lot of clothes and anything I didn’t wear the previous season goes. If I didn’t like it enough to wear it, I don’t like it enough to keep it!

Spring cleaning for me is different every year, depending on the time and energy I have. This year, it’s a garden clean-up, and closet cleaning.

We were blessed with a beautiful day yesterday, so we started our Spring cleaning then. The hubby brought the grill out of storage, cleaned it and got a new propane tank. I opened all our windows, washed them and our window treatments as well. It’s time to let the sunshine in!

My biggest spring cleaning chore right now is ripping out all the tired old daffodil and crocus bulbs left by the previous homeowner, plus weeding. Also, not strictly cleaning-related by spring-y, we put out a hummingbird feeder, a tube feeder, and a nesting materials ball this weekend.

CLEAN ME! Spring cleaning for us means taking a dumpster of construction debris to the dump/recycling center, scrubbing every surface and all the other fun things that go along with cleaning up after a long winter of hardcore home renovation! We just finished the dirty work in our living room, so we finally have space to “live” again and get a little more organized.

Spring cleaning and nesting at the same time as our second baby is due in a month. I am cleaning out drawers and closets– finally getting rid of stuff I saved from when I was a kid and old journals I wrote in when I was a teenager– and unpacking boxes that have been in our garage since we moved in this house two years ago.

I tend to like to hold on to things…my wife though is a purger. She makes me clean out my closet once a year in the spring. This vacuum and broom would be great for our 2 dogs and 6 month old! Trying to keep a two dog house clean enough for the little one to crawl around in is quite the task!

We too are expecting a baby. This will be number 2 for us, we are having a boy, we have a 5 year old girl. We are absolutley Spring Cleaning. We have been working on redoing our stairs, the flower beds are turned over, and the landscaping shall begin this next week. We have 3 dogs an soon to be 2 kids. I am obsessed with cleaning, I know OCD, and would LOVE to win this give away. Crazy I know, but I love to get new vacuums. I get obsessed when it comes to looking at them. I have not found one that works as well as I would like.

    Very excited.
