Fab Freebie: This Giveaway Sucks

***This giveaway is no longer accepting entries***

Literally- it does. Hear me out for a minute. A couple of weeks ago we posted about our new Bissell vacuum, which virtually swept us off our feet (and actually sucked stuff off our floors). Well, thanks to the magic of the Interweb, that post actually caught the eye of the kind folks over at Bissell and after a few emails back and forth… tah dah! We managed to sweet talk them into a YHL giveaway. So now one lucky reader gets the chance to win their very own Bissell Cleanview Helix Bagless Vacuum Cleaner to help them spruce up every nook and cranny of their casa. Nice, right?

Bissell Cleanview

We’re psyched that Bissell’s helping us share this HEPA-filterin’, 12-amp powerin’, multi-surface settin’, pet hair suckin’ and lightweight cleanin’ love with one of you. And if your house is home to a canine or a feline with a bit more fur than our bald-bellied Burger, this little bonus prize might come in handy too: they’re throwing in a Bissell’s Pet Hair Broom for our big winner as well.

Bissell Pet Broom2

Even if you don’t find yourself sweeping up much pet hair, the broom’s rubber bristles (which attract fur like a magnet) are retractable for your normal sweep jobs. So here’s how you can get your paws on this prize set which- thanks to the broom- technically doesn’t completely suck.

  • PRIZE: A Bissell 82H1 Cleanview Helix Bagless Upright Vacuum Cleaner and Pet Hair Broom
  • TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “CLEAN ME” and…
  • BONUS QUESTION: … tell us about any of your spring cleaning rituals that are already underway in your house (or any that you might be diving into soon). Getting the garden ready? Washing all the windows? Taking us up on our closet cleaning party? Spill it.
  • GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, March 10th at 8pm EST
  • NUMBER OF WINNERS: One
  • PRIZE SHIPS: Home to the world’s best and second-best hockey teams (that’s Canada and the US, fyi)
  • USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winner will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday. Good luck!

    CLEAN ME

We just moved into a new place and so we are using that opportunity to pare down all of our items and give away or sell the things we just don’t need. We also put everything away in an organized manner so that every item really does have its own place. Now we have more room than we know what to do with!

My vacuum just broke, and this would be PERFECT timing. No more bags, hooray!! As for spring cleaning, the warmer weather has more light streaming in through open windows/doors, and it makes me realize how much dust I need to get rid of! Now if only my boyfriend could convince me to get rid of some of the items in my closet. :-)

The main thing I must do every spring is to clean out my closet and get rid of clothing i no longer wear, shoes, hats, bags, and so on! it’s amazing the amount of stuff we can accumulate, isn’t it??

I’m hoping to make hubby do the same thing this year!

It’s also getting close to being time to clean up the backyard and get it all scrubbed and ready for pool time! YAY.

Spring cleaning will mainly consist of getting all the boxes out of our attic that got stashed up there in the chaos of moving into our very first home 18 months ago. If it’s been boxed up there all this time then we probably don’t really need it, now do we? :) Hoping to yard sale/Craigslist as much as we can, donate the rest, and maybe put some money back into our house!

CLEAN ME! We just did a major overhaul of our attic to insulate it, and in the process cleared out some prime storage space. Needless to say, we are on a mission to clean out our garage and move some boxes to the attic. Also, we have two doggies who shed furiously, so this vacuum with the pet hair brush would make my day!

My husband surprised me by kicking off some spring cleaning last weekend while I was out – along with the regular dusting, vacuuming, etc, he also started washing the windows and replanted our herb garden! We will have to continue this weekend with some organizing (our vertical filing system is getting out of hand!).

We only just got into a rental house last summer so this is my first Real Spring cleaning…The leaves left on the lawn are scaring me, but I am looking forward to the attic not being a Frozen wasteland so I can put away our winter clothes and the ones my baby has outgrown and getting out the warm weather clothes! Not to mention my current vac hose is on its last leg!

Spring cleaning…..I’m still trying to catch up on regular every-day-cleaning. Chasing after an 8-month old baby all day long has put a damper on the overall cleanliness of the house. A good scrub down is desperately needed, but unless someone shows up at my front door with a mop and broom, it probably isn’t going to happen this spring.

My fiance and I just bought a house and when moving in with my soon to be husband came a black lab mix. So her hair is everywhere and this vacuum would be amazing in our new home. We don’t have much stuff and I refuse to buy nice things because we will get alot of great home items for wedding presents. So for now I use an 15 year old vacuum the does not suck!I need one that sucks!

Spring cleaning for me is tackling our yard, previous owners let it go and now that the weather is getting nice I can weed and plant some pretty flowers and herbs!

    CLEAN ME!

Our spring cleaning ritual is already underway. After a long dreary winter, I’m usually ready for a change in our house, but with limited budget my easiet and cheapest change is rearranging the furniture. Dressers go from one room to another, sofas get repositioned, rugs are swapped. It can be a madhouse, but after everything feels fresh and new.

Clean me! This week I embark upon my semi-annual furniture rearranging–every spring I move my bed back to the wall with the window, so I can enjoy the breeze and the sun, and every fall I move it to the middle of the room so I don’t get all my cozy bedtime warmth leached out of me by being so close to an exterior wall.

This giveaway had me at hello! Running the vacuum is my favorite chore, I do it daily! In fact, I just asked the hubs for a new cleaner for my bday (seriously I love it that much!) Something about fresh lines always makes the house look great. Spring cleaning always involves purging closets, cleaning windows and scrubbing baseboards.

I love clothes but of course our closet can only hold so much. So, my husband and I have already started for this year going through our clothes that we no longer wear or don’t wear very often. Then we give those clothes to Salvation Army and Ta-Da! We have some room to go shopping and are able keep things organized!
