Fab Freebie: This Giveaway Sucks

***This giveaway is no longer accepting entries***

Literally- it does. Hear me out for a minute. A couple of weeks ago we posted about our new Bissell vacuum, which virtually swept us off our feet (and actually sucked stuff off our floors). Well, thanks to the magic of the Interweb, that post actually caught the eye of the kind folks over at Bissell and after a few emails back and forth… tah dah! We managed to sweet talk them into a YHL giveaway. So now one lucky reader gets the chance to win their very own Bissell Cleanview Helix Bagless Vacuum Cleaner to help them spruce up every nook and cranny of their casa. Nice, right?

Bissell Cleanview

We’re psyched that Bissell’s helping us share this HEPA-filterin’, 12-amp powerin’, multi-surface settin’, pet hair suckin’ and lightweight cleanin’ love with one of you. And if your house is home to a canine or a feline with a bit more fur than our bald-bellied Burger, this little bonus prize might come in handy too: they’re throwing in a Bissell’s Pet Hair Broom for our big winner as well.

Bissell Pet Broom2

Even if you don’t find yourself sweeping up much pet hair, the broom’s rubber bristles (which attract fur like a magnet) are retractable for your normal sweep jobs. So here’s how you can get your paws on this prize set which- thanks to the broom- technically doesn’t completely suck.

  • PRIZE: A Bissell 82H1 Cleanview Helix Bagless Upright Vacuum Cleaner and Pet Hair Broom
  • TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “CLEAN ME” and…
  • BONUS QUESTION: … tell us about any of your spring cleaning rituals that are already underway in your house (or any that you might be diving into soon). Getting the garden ready? Washing all the windows? Taking us up on our closet cleaning party? Spill it.
  • GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, March 10th at 8pm EST
  • NUMBER OF WINNERS: One
  • PRIZE SHIPS: Home to the world’s best and second-best hockey teams (that’s Canada and the US, fyi)
  • USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winner will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday. Good luck!

    CLEAN ME!

We had glorious weather this weekend so my son helped me dig up a sort of sad looking plant from the front yard and move it to the back yard where we’ve, hopefully, given it a nice new home. This was my first gardening project of the spring season and it felt great.

Spring cleaning! That means it is time to tear the rooms apart and start washing down the walls (love the feel of a clean room). And then when I turn around again, it will be Fall and time to do the whole thing over again. Not so good at tackling the closet.

Our list is definitely underway for the spring/summer, starting with the garden. I’m hoping to have the planter boxes built and seeds sown by the end of the month.

And we have a husky who thinks it’s her job to shed as much as she can, so this would totally come in handy! What a great giveaway :)

    CLEAN ME!
For Lent this year I’m trying to do one thing everyday instead of give something up. So I’ve challendged myself to take on one house chore a day. I’m aiming for random stuff that doesn’t fall into the line of regular maintenance, like washing out the fridge.

    CLEAN ME!

Spring cleaning is already underway in our house. We have are challenging ourselves to ORGANIZE this year and clean up all the little drawers and closets where we tend to throw junk.

Constant vacuuming and sweeping is a must in our house though. We recently got a puppy and although he doesn’t shed much, little bits of his food and remnants of all the random things he chews on are all over the house!

Clean me: I’m beginning to feel the nesting set in as I’m close to 5 months pregnant. The next project is my dresser drawers. One of the drawers is like an office drawer and I really need to try and maximize the full space of the deep drawer.

My spring cleaning would involve vacuuming, but unfortunately, I don’t own one… It’s not too bad now (I sweep my itsy bitsy dorm room with a itsy bitsy hand sweeper and a dust pan) but I’ll be moving into a real apartment in a few months, and I will want clean carpet!

My name is Ashley and I have Cleaning OCD. There I said it! :) I clean my house routinely throughout the week, but spring brings extras to do:

    1) Clean the windows inside & out and wash curtains
    2) Clean the cars of all that winter grime
    3) Clean the garage (it’s too cold to do this year round here)
    4) Organize & purge anything that needs it to help the whole house feel lighter

Winning this would put a little extra ‘spring’ in my cleaning steps!

This is such an awesome giveaway, especially as I LOVE to vacuum. It’s the one and only cleaning activity that I get excited about. As for a cleaning ritual- every spring I try to go through my closets to declutter… reorganizing and giving away things that I no longer need/use.
