How excited are we to be giving away a Model One Radio this week? You probably know that our cheery yellow one is one of our favorite things that we’ve bought for our new kitchen (more on that here). Sure it’s been dubbed “the best sounding table radio ever made” by some (MSNBC in this case), but our love for it stems first and foremost from its looks. It’s one good looking radio. But that’s not to say that we don’t crank up the radio (or an iPod playlist thanks to the auxiliary input in the back) and enjoy a family dance party every now and then…

RADIO ME! I mostly use the radio in the mornings. I tune in on my fave morning radio show while taking the kids to school and going to work. Also, I love to listen to the oldies(specially 80’s music!) =)

We use a little sad kitchen radio right now, for NPR in the morning and music while we cook and do dishes. I love to have music blasting while I’m doing my canning in the fall also!!!

RADIO ME! The radio has been the background music to my life since I was a little girl. I grew up in a house with the radio on almost constatly, and now my husband and I do the same thing in our home. It’s one of those things that I picked up from my mom, and always makes me think of her.

I just said to my husband on Monday I needed something like this. In yellow of course. I would listen to everything on the radio, I love to siotch channels and discover new music. I am open to almost all types of music. I definitely would make use of the IPhone jack as well. This is by far the most awesome music device I have seen in a long time.

Our cabinet mounted radio will be a thing of the past in our tiny kitchen reno and this radio is the perfect replacement. When its my turn to make dinner or do dishes its mostly NPR and audiobooks, when it my husband’s its sports talk and music. The parent not doing the chores is handing with the kiddos so the radio makes the chores feel kind of like a little time to yourself.
