Fab Freebie: The Heat Is On

***This giveaway is no longer accepting entries – scroll to the bottom to see who won!***

Is it hot in here or is it just these? Har har. But seriously, Air & Water offers a slew of heating, cooling and even humidifying products for your home, and this week one of you is gonna score one of these electric fireplaces on the house:

AirNWater Heaters

Whether you go for the modern and colorful Mini Cube ($100), the large and traditional Lincoln ($300) or something in between, like the Danville or the Compact Electric ($130) you’ll be adding function and ambiance to any less-than-warm space. My mom actually has one like the Compact Electric and it was quite a hit over the Christmas holiday (the one-button remote couldn’t have been easier).

So here’s how to enter:

  • PRIZE: One electric fireplace from Air & Water (choose from the Mini Cube, Lincoln, Danville or Compact Electric).
  • TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “HEAT ME UP!” and…
  • BONUS QUESTION: … tell us how you’re staying warm this winter (new coat? lots of hot chocolate?) or if your area’s weather has even required any stay-warm tactics (we had one of the coldest Decembers on record, but maybe you’ve been enjoying t-shirt weather?)
  • GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, January 5th at 8pm EST
  • NUMBER OF WINNERS: One
  • PRIZE SHIPS: The 48 contiguous United States
  • USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winner will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday as an update to this post. That’s right, come right back here on Thursday morning for the announcement of our winner. Good luck…

******************************

Random.org has chosen a winner and it’s… Annette Nelson (who keeps warm by heating up a rice bag she made from Sew Mama Sew). Congrats!

Note: We weren’t paid or perk’d for hosting this giveaway, we just take them on to reward our lovely readers! See our Giveaway FAQs page for more info. Pics from Air & Water.

HEAT ME UP! We’ve been using extra blankets. We have an older home so lots of lost energy going out. Saving up for some new energy efficient windows which I hope to have some if not all replaced this time next year:)

I stay warm with wrap sweaters and thick socks. We live in the same region as you and have not enjoyed the early spike in our gas heat bill! Add to that, we are framing our house and the crew was out in 20 degree weather for a week working. I felt so bad for them and built them a campfire.

I’ve put on a little more weight this year, but it has not helped keep me warm! I ordered clothes a size larger for this winter. Think this snazzy heater could melt a few pounds off me? ;) I’m in SE KS and we have had temps around 0 a few nights already!

We replaced our old 1982 original doors and windows in September, and we insulated before we put on new siding…we’ve noticed a big difference, but there’s nothing like a nice wood stove to heat things up :)

Heat me up! I am warming up this winter with my own little internal combustion engine, also known as a baby girl, due Feb. 3! We live in Louisville, KY, a town which likes to think its far enough south that none of the houses need insulation! So, this winter, I am very grateful to have my little inner heater keepin’ me warm. My husband on the other hand is not so lucky….

    HEAT ME UP!

I am staying warm via blankets this year. I pretty much live under a blanket 365 days a year (even though the weather outside may dictate otherwise) and I rotate them according to season. Maybe if I won an electric fireplace I could use my hands a bit more – without resorting to a Snuggy!

    HEAT ME UP!

I spend most of my day in my home office, squared away in a corner of a very large family room, so I’ve been using the same small tower heater that I use in my bedroom. When I’m in bed I use a heating pad for my back at the end of the day, sometimes though I just throw it down by my feet which seems to warm me up pretty well. Also, lots of home-cooked meals, our kitchen gets h-o-t!

ugh….it’s our first winter in our very own house. Turns out oil heat is EXPENSIVE!!!

So…for Christmas the hubby got me 2 electric throw blankets for the sofa…and 1 dual controller blanket for our bed. I can stay toasty warm while he stays just luke warm.

Remove the blanket and you’re toast though (haha) it’s FREEZING without it!
