Fab Freebie: The Heat Is On

***This giveaway is no longer accepting entries – scroll to the bottom to see who won!***

Is it hot in here or is it just these? Har har. But seriously, Air & Water offers a slew of heating, cooling and even humidifying products for your home, and this week one of you is gonna score one of these electric fireplaces on the house:

AirNWater Heaters

Whether you go for the modern and colorful Mini Cube ($100), the large and traditional Lincoln ($300) or something in between, like the Danville or the Compact Electric ($130) you’ll be adding function and ambiance to any less-than-warm space. My mom actually has one like the Compact Electric and it was quite a hit over the Christmas holiday (the one-button remote couldn’t have been easier).

So here’s how to enter:

  • PRIZE: One electric fireplace from Air & Water (choose from the Mini Cube, Lincoln, Danville or Compact Electric).
  • TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “HEAT ME UP!” and…
  • BONUS QUESTION: … tell us how you’re staying warm this winter (new coat? lots of hot chocolate?) or if your area’s weather has even required any stay-warm tactics (we had one of the coldest Decembers on record, but maybe you’ve been enjoying t-shirt weather?)
  • GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, January 5th at 8pm EST
  • NUMBER OF WINNERS: One
  • PRIZE SHIPS: The 48 contiguous United States
  • USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winner will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday as an update to this post. That’s right, come right back here on Thursday morning for the announcement of our winner. Good luck…

******************************

Random.org has chosen a winner and it’s… Annette Nelson (who keeps warm by heating up a rice bag she made from Sew Mama Sew). Congrats!

Note: We weren’t paid or perk’d for hosting this giveaway, we just take them on to reward our lovely readers! See our Giveaway FAQs page for more info. Pics from Air & Water.

hey john & sherry – last winter (march 2010, actually) our furnace went up… perfect timing as we were due to have a baby boy in August & thus trying to save all our pennies! we git a new furnace, but have been diligent about keeping thick socks on our feet, hoodie sweatshirts & lots of blankets around the house! we’re also in RVA & so have had the chilly weather right along with you too!
    STAY WARM!

HEAT ME UP! We bought a portable radiant heater for the coldest room in the house (over a crawl space) and have throw blankets all over the place. We’re still looking for the ideal solution for my husband’s basement office.

At home I use my slanket and LL Bean shearling slippers to keep warm while writing or watching tv. I’m freezing at work though- I sit right under the air vent and have cold air blowing on me all day. I used some of your DIY skills and duct taped some cardboard box tops over the vent and now its much more bearable!

It’s pretty cold here in Ohio and we get a good amount of snow. We definitely rely on cuddling on the couch with hot cocoa to get warm up after being outside. We actually were looking into electric and gas fireplaces because we love the way they look and I’m sure they’re cozy.

Somehow my husband and I have accumulated a zillion throw blankets…

…plus, I enjoy using my bright yellow Rachel Ray tea kettle to brew up some tea…

    …piles of winter HATS::GLOVES::SCARVES etc.

…aaaand spending the Holidays in Boca Raton, Florida helped us avoid the one-&-only snow storm that our North Carolina town gets a year…even though a snowy Christmas is magical, drinking my morning cup of joe in the in-laws pool made for a pretty amazing Christmas morning as well…
