Fab Freebie: The Heat Is On

***This giveaway is no longer accepting entries – scroll to the bottom to see who won!***

Is it hot in here or is it just these? Har har. But seriously, Air & Water offers a slew of heating, cooling and even humidifying products for your home, and this week one of you is gonna score one of these electric fireplaces on the house:

AirNWater Heaters

Whether you go for the modern and colorful Mini Cube ($100), the large and traditional Lincoln ($300) or something in between, like the Danville or the Compact Electric ($130) you’ll be adding function and ambiance to any less-than-warm space. My mom actually has one like the Compact Electric and it was quite a hit over the Christmas holiday (the one-button remote couldn’t have been easier).

So here’s how to enter:

  • PRIZE: One electric fireplace from Air & Water (choose from the Mini Cube, Lincoln, Danville or Compact Electric).
  • TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “HEAT ME UP!” and…
  • BONUS QUESTION: … tell us how you’re staying warm this winter (new coat? lots of hot chocolate?) or if your area’s weather has even required any stay-warm tactics (we had one of the coldest Decembers on record, but maybe you’ve been enjoying t-shirt weather?)
  • GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, January 5th at 8pm EST
  • NUMBER OF WINNERS: One
  • PRIZE SHIPS: The 48 contiguous United States
  • USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winner will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday as an update to this post. That’s right, come right back here on Thursday morning for the announcement of our winner. Good luck…

******************************

Random.org has chosen a winner and it’s… Annette Nelson (who keeps warm by heating up a rice bag she made from Sew Mama Sew). Congrats!

Note: We weren’t paid or perk’d for hosting this giveaway, we just take them on to reward our lovely readers! See our Giveaway FAQs page for more info. Pics from Air & Water.

    HEAT ME UP!

I’ve been staying warm thanks to the natural gas heat in my home – seems so much warmer than electric heat.

HEAT ME UP! Just today it is FREEZING here (sunny at least!) I am in portland, OR, and we’re having quite a cold (but so far snowless) winter so far. As I live in an old house (1923 bungalow) without a fireplace (wah), I am frankly having a lot of trouble staying warm this winter — hence my fervent hope to win one of these babies.

I got a tea kettle for christmas. The hot chocolate doesn’t warm me up as much as a toasty fire would.

I live in the city of steel.. it’s pretty chilly here… I live in a drafty place, which makes it even colder. Some rooms dip down to 52. Cold. I use space heaters, hoodies and sweatpants & always have on slippers with big blankets.

HEAT ME UP! I’ve been trying to compromise between the needs of my boyfriend’s dog to be warm and my cat’s need to not be eaten. So far we’ve covered the porch windows with thick plastic (The 3M stuff didn’t work–too cold) and tape that sticks up to -10. We plugged in a space heater and the room is fairly warm…enough for the doggy to be happy at least!

We had pretty warm weather up till the New Years….so now we are wishing we had a fireplace that works….but till we actually get ours working way down the road or get an electric ;) then we will be staying warm by cuddling in our blankets and keeping our house toasty with our newer central heat and air system that replaced the old one that died on us last year!
