Fab Freebie: The Heat Is On

***This giveaway is no longer accepting entries – scroll to the bottom to see who won!***

Is it hot in here or is it just these? Har har. But seriously, Air & Water offers a slew of heating, cooling and even humidifying products for your home, and this week one of you is gonna score one of these electric fireplaces on the house:

AirNWater Heaters

Whether you go for the modern and colorful Mini Cube ($100), the large and traditional Lincoln ($300) or something in between, like the Danville or the Compact Electric ($130) you’ll be adding function and ambiance to any less-than-warm space. My mom actually has one like the Compact Electric and it was quite a hit over the Christmas holiday (the one-button remote couldn’t have been easier).

So here’s how to enter:

  • PRIZE: One electric fireplace from Air & Water (choose from the Mini Cube, Lincoln, Danville or Compact Electric).
  • TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “HEAT ME UP!” and…
  • BONUS QUESTION: … tell us how you’re staying warm this winter (new coat? lots of hot chocolate?) or if your area’s weather has even required any stay-warm tactics (we had one of the coldest Decembers on record, but maybe you’ve been enjoying t-shirt weather?)
  • GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, January 5th at 8pm EST
  • NUMBER OF WINNERS: One
  • PRIZE SHIPS: The 48 contiguous United States
  • USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winner will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday as an update to this post. That’s right, come right back here on Thursday morning for the announcement of our winner. Good luck…

******************************

Random.org has chosen a winner and it’s… Annette Nelson (who keeps warm by heating up a rice bag she made from Sew Mama Sew). Congrats!

Note: We weren’t paid or perk’d for hosting this giveaway, we just take them on to reward our lovely readers! See our Giveaway FAQs page for more info. Pics from Air & Water.

    HEAT ME UP!

We’ve had record snowfall in December. Living in Minnesota, that’s pretty impressive!

I’ve been staying warm by wearing my hand knit wool socks, drinking lots of fancy hot chocolate and snuggling with my 95 pound lap dog.

I’ve been staying warm by snuggling under a blanket I got for Christmas. It’s been a cold winter in Ohio so far!

    “Heat me up”

It is snowing in Las Vegas today!?!?!?!? I am staying warm with coats, jackets, blankets, thermal socks, and hot chocolate; basically anything I can get my hands on! I am not accustom to the cold here in the desert.

I used to stay warm by turning the thermostat up – until I realized how expensive oil is (first winter in a new house)! Now I will stay warm by buying myself an electric blanket : )

HEAT ME UP! Our heat has been on the fritz since Christmas! I’m trying to stay warm by wearing socks indoors (I prefer to let my feet breathe!), drinking TONS of hot herbal tea and eating spicy food at least once a day. That’s supposed to help, right?

Heat me up! We had a blizzard here in Boston last weekend (as did much of the Northeast). I celebrated by not leaving my house. At all. If I win the fireplace I bet I’ll actually want to leave so I can come home and warm up!

    HEAT ME UP!

Well, the increased circulation from the surprise pregnancy (at 38 years old, and after we were told that we could not have more children – our son is three) is doing pretty darn well. I’ve been walking around in all kinds of weather with no coat, because I am rapidly growing out of the ones I have, and because I’m just not cold enough to put a coat on for a dash from house to car, car to work, etc. I’ve also been keeping our home at 66 degrees during the day, to the chagrin of husband and son who walk around complaining about the cold (PUT ON MORE CLOTHES! You don’t have a baby furnace inside you!). And 64 at night. And I still kick the covers off. Ahh, the joys of pregnancy. Just think, I’ll be delivering in July. If I don’t melt, first.

HEAT ME UP! Especially now, since the heater in our apt just BROKE 2 days ago when it’s “freezing” here in So California (45 degrees IS freezing!). And in the new home we’re moving to next weekend, there is no fireplace, so i would LOVE one of these beautiful heaters! :)

Since I live in the mountains of Utah (and the other night the low was -36F. Seriously.) We run electric heaters 24/7 and have a furnace that runs on propane. And we wear lots and lots of layers. Can’t beat the view outside the window though!

I drink LOTS of tea and have a “uniform” when I’m home – fleece-lined sweatpants, long sleeve t-shirt, hooded sweatshirt, socks and slippers. If I happen to be sitting on the couch I’ll definitely be wrapped up in a blanket as well. Minnesota is cold!

Staying warm snuggling up with my kids and hubby, under some of our best cozy, old, worn out quilts! Ya know the kind that are tattered and raveled but have value because of all snuggles, sick days, blanket forts, and general comfort they bring!

HEAT ME UP! I live in MN, and we have had a chilly (though not as bad as some years) winter here. Since my house seems colder than normal anyway, I’ve taught my dog to lay on my feet when I’m sitting on the couch. :) Cuddle time + extra heater = JOY for both of us.
