Fab Freebie: The Heat Is On

***This giveaway is no longer accepting entries – scroll to the bottom to see who won!***

Is it hot in here or is it just these? Har har. But seriously, Air & Water offers a slew of heating, cooling and even humidifying products for your home, and this week one of you is gonna score one of these electric fireplaces on the house:

AirNWater Heaters

Whether you go for the modern and colorful Mini Cube ($100), the large and traditional Lincoln ($300) or something in between, like the Danville or the Compact Electric ($130) you’ll be adding function and ambiance to any less-than-warm space. My mom actually has one like the Compact Electric and it was quite a hit over the Christmas holiday (the one-button remote couldn’t have been easier).

So here’s how to enter:

  • PRIZE: One electric fireplace from Air & Water (choose from the Mini Cube, Lincoln, Danville or Compact Electric).
  • TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “HEAT ME UP!” and…
  • BONUS QUESTION: … tell us how you’re staying warm this winter (new coat? lots of hot chocolate?) or if your area’s weather has even required any stay-warm tactics (we had one of the coldest Decembers on record, but maybe you’ve been enjoying t-shirt weather?)
  • GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, January 5th at 8pm EST
  • NUMBER OF WINNERS: One
  • PRIZE SHIPS: The 48 contiguous United States
  • USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winner will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday as an update to this post. That’s right, come right back here on Thursday morning for the announcement of our winner. Good luck…

******************************

Random.org has chosen a winner and it’s… Annette Nelson (who keeps warm by heating up a rice bag she made from Sew Mama Sew). Congrats!

Note: We weren’t paid or perk’d for hosting this giveaway, we just take them on to reward our lovely readers! See our Giveaway FAQs page for more info. Pics from Air & Water.

As I type outside it is 8 degrees and it will be until March! I always wear lots of layers, coats and thank goodness for Uggs otherwise my toes would have frost bite!
It would be really nice to have fire to cuddle up in front of.

    “HEAT ME UP!”

This past weekend we had 60 degree weather, but the weekend before we had a foot of snow! Our little house by the beach only has one window unit for heat (and AC). So we usually hang out with a space heater pointed straight at us!

    HEAT ME UP!

Oh my goodness, best give away yet.

We have bubble wrap on the windows then covered with plastic. We have masking tape covering up leaky spots on the walls, we have sunk to new lows this winter trying to stay warm. We don’t have central air, just a pellet stove that only runs when we are home and awake.

We would LOVE an electric fireplace, what a fabulous solution to our bedroom which has been 46 degrees when I wake up in the morning. And would be safer than our pellet stove which is VERY unpredictable.

Staying warm with coffee in the mornings (and afternoons, let’s be honest), and homemade chai in the evenings. Though we did have the windows open on New Year’s Even when it was a “balmy” 60 degrees. Weird. Long winter ahead though!

PLEASE, Heat me UP!!! I am the cold one at our house. I can be found wearing a tee shirt, sweatshirt, jeans, socks and shoes. On days when it is really bitter outside I also wear my coat indoors. It doesn’t help that our house is 115 years old and poorly insulated. ;)
