Fab Freebie: The Heat Is On

***This giveaway is no longer accepting entries – scroll to the bottom to see who won!***

Is it hot in here or is it just these? Har har. But seriously, Air & Water offers a slew of heating, cooling and even humidifying products for your home, and this week one of you is gonna score one of these electric fireplaces on the house:

AirNWater Heaters

Whether you go for the modern and colorful Mini Cube ($100), the large and traditional Lincoln ($300) or something in between, like the Danville or the Compact Electric ($130) you’ll be adding function and ambiance to any less-than-warm space. My mom actually has one like the Compact Electric and it was quite a hit over the Christmas holiday (the one-button remote couldn’t have been easier).

So here’s how to enter:

  • PRIZE: One electric fireplace from Air & Water (choose from the Mini Cube, Lincoln, Danville or Compact Electric).
  • TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “HEAT ME UP!” and…
  • BONUS QUESTION: … tell us how you’re staying warm this winter (new coat? lots of hot chocolate?) or if your area’s weather has even required any stay-warm tactics (we had one of the coldest Decembers on record, but maybe you’ve been enjoying t-shirt weather?)
  • GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, January 5th at 8pm EST
  • NUMBER OF WINNERS: One
  • PRIZE SHIPS: The 48 contiguous United States
  • USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winner will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday as an update to this post. That’s right, come right back here on Thursday morning for the announcement of our winner. Good luck…

******************************

Random.org has chosen a winner and it’s… Annette Nelson (who keeps warm by heating up a rice bag she made from Sew Mama Sew). Congrats!

Note: We weren’t paid or perk’d for hosting this giveaway, we just take them on to reward our lovely readers! See our Giveaway FAQs page for more info. Pics from Air & Water.

I’m in the mountains in Vermont. We just bought a new home and my favorite room is the coldest room thanks to the big beautiful windows- but no woodstove in the home ?!?
Great blog btw- very happy to have found it- I’m totally hooked :)

    HEAT ME UP!

2 oil-filled radiator-type heaters (one each for bunny and guinea pig rooms), 1 electric heater (for cat in garage), 1 warm humidifier (bedroom at night), 2 cool humidifiers, a little new weatherstripping, and some towels rolled up as draft stops. (A house built in 1969 should not be THAT hard to heat!!)

It’s been freezing here in northern MA, we have a pellet stove we purchased for this winter to try and save $ on gas bills to keep us toasty.. but we have a 3 season room that we were thinking of getting an electric fireplace for! Happy 2011!

HEAT ME UP! I live in Florida and it’s generally warm here, but it’s been a very cold winter, I would LOVE one of these for our freezing cold downstairs den/office/playroom area. :)

HEAT ME UP! Help! my husband and I recently bought a 60 year old ranch and it’s our first winter in our house. Our master bedroom is freezing, and it’s the only bedroom that has a draft. We tried weather stripping on our windows, etc. And cannot retain the heat. Part of the problem is that we have baseboard heat and it escapes through our chimney. We are currently living in Philly, where cold winters are the norm. This fireplace would be PERFECT to keep us warm, plus it looks stylish too!
