    I’M BOLD

I put myself back in school right after my husband returned home from serving a year in Iraq. It was terrifying because I hadn’t been an classroom in close to 24 months and those in my classes are my sisters age (four years younger than me). But it turned out well! I’m now five months away from graduating with my AOS degree and a year and a half away from having my BFA in Graphic Design. YEAH!

I actually did chop off all of my hair, just for some the heck of it. I’ve always had very long hair and about a month and a half ago I went and got 8 inches cut off!!! I’m still getting use to the change.

Another bold move, I painting my entire basement green – very ugly green! I repainted the entire basement beige after that bold move didn’t work out so well. I can’t tell by paint swabs or samples if I like a color, I have to see the entire room before I can tell if I love it or hate it!

    I’m Bold!!!!!!

I went to my hair dresser for a new cut and came out with WAYYY less hair. Was not part of the plan at all. I decided to do a little shopping to kill time before going home and walked by a tattoo shop. My friend was with me and I was explaining to her that I had always wanted a tattoo of an antique key (my maiden name before I married) and one of the artists heard me and said “come on in, I can draw one out for you”. With in a few hours I had a new tattoo to go with my new short do. Was a bold day!

    I’m bold!!!

I was on vacation in Wales a few years ago, and we were having drinks in this pub. And one of the older gentlemen who plays darts there (and who,in hindsight, had probably been drinking!) wanted to show off his dart throwing skills. The girl next to me chickened out, but I told him go for it. He aimed, and threw the dart, which thudded into the wood floor right next to my foot. He outlined my foot with darts.

It’s one of my favorite vacation stories ever.

Probably the boldest thing I’ve done was quitting my job, packing everything into a trunk, and moving into the woods to become a raft guide, this past summer. It changed my life, and it was something that normally I wouldn’t have done, but I just did it, no hesitation and haven’t looked back since!
