We moved about a year ago and since then, I have discovered that making curtains is pretty easy. I made a pair of panels for our dining room and plan to make more for the living room.

THe one project I loved was stiping my son’s nursery – I went very subtle b/c I was afraid I would hate it. We picked a soft orange color (super cute and neutral!), and got a can with a glossier finish, then striped vertically from the chair rail down, in about one-inch sections. It was much easier than I thought it would be, and turned out awesome. Thinking about stenciling/striping his eventual big-boy room….

I have begged for free furniture and found amazing deals at Goodwill. When these great deals don’t work for color scheme I paint them. I have a dresser that’s in desperate need of fun glossy paint. When we first moved into our house we painted the dining room & kitchen a chocolate mile color with a red accent wall. I am so over the DARK and ready to lighten things up, I’m think grey & yellow, but we’ll see! Have to get the hubs on board to repaint those tall walls!
