Fab Freebie: Roll On Some Royalty

*** This giveaway is now closed. See who won below!***

Sorry for the late notice (travel is messing up my winner picking mojo!), but the random winner of this stencil prize is… Jen (who once “made a chevron painting with instructions I found on Pinterest and it turned out great”). Congrats Jen!

The love of stencils that first blossomed when we did our office walls only grew stronger when we tackled a couple of stenciling projects for our book (on pages 26 & 282). So in the spirit of sharing the love, this week’s prize comes from the maker of the very stencils that we used in all three cases – Royal Design Studio. We’re longtime fans of their modern shapes and patterns, and they’re starting you off with a $100 stencil gift card and throwing in a $100 “Stencil Success Kit” that includes the essentials for executing your stencil project. You’ll get a roller set, 7 brushes, and your choice of five stencil crémes. And to top it all off, how about a $50 paint allowance to the paint store of your choice? That totals a $250 kick in the pants to get your stencil on.

Royal Design Studio Giveaway

  • PRIZE: $100 stencil gift card to Royal Design Studio, plus a “Stencil Success Kit” and a $50 paint allowance to the paint store of your choice
  • TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “STENCIL ME!” and tell us…
  • BONUS QUESTION: … one DIY project that you’ve tackled once and are dying to try again. Is it a paint project? Something building related? Are you itching to take another whack at a crafting or sewing project?
  • GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, Nov 14th at 8pm EST or at 10,000 entries (whichever comes first)
  • NUMBER OF WINNERS: One
  • PRIZE SHIPS: We always beg every vendor to ship internationally but some companies are not legally able to vend things beyond the US (more on that here). This giveaway is open to The United States.
  • USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winner will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday as an update to this post. That’s right, come right back here on Thursday for the announcement of our winner. Good luck…

Note: We aren’t paid or perked for hosting these giveaways, we just do ‘em to thank you awesome folks for stopping in. See our Giveaway FAQ page for more info. Pics courtesy of Royal Design Studio.

STENCIL ME! I reupholstered a hideous sofa in my first post college apartment. It was by no means a quality job, but it looked way better, lol. Dying to find some ugly but cool thrift/CL/clearance living room chairs and try again!

And I’d totally use this stencil on my kitchen rug, which I’ve been putting off painting because I’m chicken pants, lol.

I can’t wait to paint some of the walls in our new house! Just hard finding the time with a baby who sleeps 8-9 hours at night & takes a 1.5 hour nap. Might have to babywear her while doing it!

Stencil me! I’m in the middle of a complete interior repaint job and I’ve been looking into doing some stenciling to add a bit of character to what will now be fairly neutral walls. Or, more likely, I would stencil some curtains for my whole open concept=everything in one room with 5 windows randomly placed downstairs. :) thanks for the chance to win such a great prize!

    Stencil me!

We are in the middle of an almost two-year remodel with a ways to go. (Ps, I loved your The Middle Makes No Sense post today…so true and really helped to hear it from someone else!) So, there are probably a lot of projects we would like to re do, but for now we want to be done! :) I am looking forward to the stage past drywall and electrical to more fun stuff like re-doing a few projects chairs I have picked up along the way. Those will be fun to tackle!

    Stencil me!

My DIY repeat story: I’ve reupholstered two chairs, and I’m itching to do more! We have two more chairs and a loveseat ready to reupholster, but we’re struggling to find fabric we like for the chairs, and we haven’t found the exact type of cushions we want for the loveseat …. so I’m stuck until my husband and I are able to sit down and make these purchasing decisions together. Hopefully that will happen within the next few weeks!

    Stencil me!

I’ve done so much DIY around my house and yet nothing feels done. I’d really like to finish painting our downstairs/stairway/upstairs hallway, but being 7 months pregnant means ladders and I don’t get along and there are a whole lot of high places that aren’t done. A stencil in my pantry or laundry closet would be a nice touch that I wouldn’t really need a ladder for, though (hubby would, me no).
