Fab Freebie: Roll On Some Royalty

*** This giveaway is now closed. See who won below!***

Sorry for the late notice (travel is messing up my winner picking mojo!), but the random winner of this stencil prize is… Jen (who once “made a chevron painting with instructions I found on Pinterest and it turned out great”). Congrats Jen!

The love of stencils that first blossomed when we did our office walls only grew stronger when we tackled a couple of stenciling projects for our book (on pages 26 & 282). So in the spirit of sharing the love, this week’s prize comes from the maker of the very stencils that we used in all three cases – Royal Design Studio. We’re longtime fans of their modern shapes and patterns, and they’re starting you off with a $100 stencil gift card and throwing in a $100 “Stencil Success Kit” that includes the essentials for executing your stencil project. You’ll get a roller set, 7 brushes, and your choice of five stencil crémes. And to top it all off, how about a $50 paint allowance to the paint store of your choice? That totals a $250 kick in the pants to get your stencil on.

Royal Design Studio Giveaway

  • PRIZE: $100 stencil gift card to Royal Design Studio, plus a “Stencil Success Kit” and a $50 paint allowance to the paint store of your choice
  • TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “STENCIL ME!” and tell us…
  • BONUS QUESTION: … one DIY project that you’ve tackled once and are dying to try again. Is it a paint project? Something building related? Are you itching to take another whack at a crafting or sewing project?
  • GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, Nov 14th at 8pm EST or at 10,000 entries (whichever comes first)
  • NUMBER OF WINNERS: One
  • PRIZE SHIPS: We always beg every vendor to ship internationally but some companies are not legally able to vend things beyond the US (more on that here). This giveaway is open to The United States.
  • USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winner will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday as an update to this post. That’s right, come right back here on Thursday for the announcement of our winner. Good luck…

Note: We aren’t paid or perked for hosting these giveaways, we just do ‘em to thank you awesome folks for stopping in. See our Giveaway FAQ page for more info. Pics courtesy of Royal Design Studio.

Stencil Me! Let’s be realistic. My wife wants stenciling done, she chooses, points, and I am the one who will do it. So this little prize would actually be a big help four our entrance. Whatever the lady wants…

    “STENCIL ME!”

We want to Re-do our master bedroom. We originally painted it when we moved in (1.5yrs ago)…and now it looks sad. I’m thinking some wall paper or a stencil would be just the ticket!

I basically demo’d & rebuilt the entire inside of my last house, and now that I’m temporarily living with family members, I’m itching to do any DIY at all! I’m actually looking forward to helping my mom repaint her kitchen, ugly oak cabinets & all!

I painted every countertop in our house to hide the hideous pattern. They came out beautifully and have lasted years. It was so therapeutic…or maybe I was just getting a buzz off the bonding primer!

STENCIL ME! The DIY projects I can’t wait to get back into involve my sewing machine! I just had a baby and then had to have my gallbladder removed but now that my energy is returning, I’m dying to get back to my machine and sew, sew, sew!!! I have so much I want to do, especially with Christmas coming up!
I’ve never stenciled anything this big before but if I win, I have ideas for the master bedroom in the new house we just bought!

STENCIL ME! Believe or not, I tried stenciling our guest bathroom and didn’t have much (ok, ANY) luck. However, that was with a homemade stencil and no Young House Love expertise to help me along, so I’d be willing to give it another go…although maybe on a smaller scale this time. I loved the stenciled desk you guys did in your book, so maybe that would be a good starting point!

    STENCIL ME!

My first, big girl do-it-yourself project (outside of painting a bedroom, etc.) was a quilt I made for my boyfriend’s Queen Size bed. I had so much fun shopping for fabric. Ultimately I went with a gold and black (Pittsburg Steelers!) color theme. It doesn’t really match anything in the room though.

Since I’m hoping to move in soon, it’s time for another quilt…one that actually matches something! :)

I’d definitely like a do-over on the color I chose for the basement. My husband likes it though, so repainting the large space has been a tough sell. I’d also repaint our bedroom and bathroom because I’m tired of he color and it has only been 3 years.

My hubs & I just repainted a little side table & I’m not too crazy about the color (black) so I think we’re going to paint it some bright funky color… I just can’t decide: teal, red or yellow? Orange? Lime green? Neon pink? Our house has just about zero color so anything could work…!
