Fab Freebie: Roll On Some Royalty

*** This giveaway is now closed. See who won below!***

Sorry for the late notice (travel is messing up my winner picking mojo!), but the random winner of this stencil prize is… Jen (who once “made a chevron painting with instructions I found on Pinterest and it turned out great”). Congrats Jen!

The love of stencils that first blossomed when we did our office walls only grew stronger when we tackled a couple of stenciling projects for our book (on pages 26 & 282). So in the spirit of sharing the love, this week’s prize comes from the maker of the very stencils that we used in all three cases – Royal Design Studio. We’re longtime fans of their modern shapes and patterns, and they’re starting you off with a $100 stencil gift card and throwing in a $100 “Stencil Success Kit” that includes the essentials for executing your stencil project. You’ll get a roller set, 7 brushes, and your choice of five stencil crémes. And to top it all off, how about a $50 paint allowance to the paint store of your choice? That totals a $250 kick in the pants to get your stencil on.

Royal Design Studio Giveaway

  • PRIZE: $100 stencil gift card to Royal Design Studio, plus a “Stencil Success Kit” and a $50 paint allowance to the paint store of your choice
  • TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “STENCIL ME!” and tell us…
  • BONUS QUESTION: … one DIY project that you’ve tackled once and are dying to try again. Is it a paint project? Something building related? Are you itching to take another whack at a crafting or sewing project?
  • GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, Nov 14th at 8pm EST or at 10,000 entries (whichever comes first)
  • NUMBER OF WINNERS: One
  • PRIZE SHIPS: We always beg every vendor to ship internationally but some companies are not legally able to vend things beyond the US (more on that here). This giveaway is open to The United States.
  • USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winner will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday as an update to this post. That’s right, come right back here on Thursday for the announcement of our winner. Good luck…

Note: We aren’t paid or perked for hosting these giveaways, we just do ‘em to thank you awesome folks for stopping in. See our Giveaway FAQ page for more info. Pics courtesy of Royal Design Studio.

STENCIL ME!!!! This is so ironic, I had just clicked on their link on your sidebar a few days ago while searching around for some inspiration for my three-year-olds big girl room that we are tackling next month. I love the moroccan trellis stencil and the folk flower stencil!
As for a DIY that I’d love to try again – that would have to be my girl’s picnic table that I built from Ana White’s plans. I would love to get back outside and working on a swing for my girls as soon as the weather is nice in the spring.

I have an entire pinterest board dedicated to my bathroom that I’m DYING to redo! I would love to add a stencil to the main wall!

I also helped a friend stencil the front of a dresser…and I’m on the hunt for an old shabby dresser to redo for my own bedroom. :)

    STENCIL ME!

A DIY project that I’ve tackled once and am dying to try again is painting furniture. I filled it the problem areas, I sanded it down, cleaned, primed it, painted it. again and again (LOL)

I would live to try this, but on a larger scale – DINING ROOM table and chairs. but i think I’ll go with a dark walnut stain instead of paint.

    STENCIL ME!

The project I want to attempt again is actually a stenciling project so this is perfect timing. My first stencil project was the inside of my VERY small pantry. I was afraid to do anything bigger for fear it would be an epic failure….however, it turned out awesome and is one of my very favorite projects ever. I would love to do a really cool stencil in my office to finish it off.

STENCIL ME! I tried to ombre paint one wall in my half bathroom several years ago and it turned out horrible! I ended up just painting the room solid and adding accent squares in the darker color. The room is bright (yellow) and I’m getting a wee bit sick of it, so I’m hatching up a plan to repaint it, paint the vanity, replace the fixtures and mirror and just tone it down a bit!

I DIYed my wedding shoes by adding glitter to the heel. I used frog tape and Saran Wrap to cover up the rest of the shoe, then used two coats of spray adhesive and glitter, followed by an acrylic sealant. Of course, I promptly ruined the shoes by getting some car grease on them and had to overnight new ones the day before the wedding :( but I definitely plan on doing it again!
