Fab Freebie: Roll On Some Royalty

*** This giveaway is now closed. See who won below!***

Sorry for the late notice (travel is messing up my winner picking mojo!), but the random winner of this stencil prize is… Jen (who once “made a chevron painting with instructions I found on Pinterest and it turned out great”). Congrats Jen!

The love of stencils that first blossomed when we did our office walls only grew stronger when we tackled a couple of stenciling projects for our book (on pages 26 & 282). So in the spirit of sharing the love, this week’s prize comes from the maker of the very stencils that we used in all three cases – Royal Design Studio. We’re longtime fans of their modern shapes and patterns, and they’re starting you off with a $100 stencil gift card and throwing in a $100 “Stencil Success Kit” that includes the essentials for executing your stencil project. You’ll get a roller set, 7 brushes, and your choice of five stencil crémes. And to top it all off, how about a $50 paint allowance to the paint store of your choice? That totals a $250 kick in the pants to get your stencil on.

Royal Design Studio Giveaway

  • PRIZE: $100 stencil gift card to Royal Design Studio, plus a “Stencil Success Kit” and a $50 paint allowance to the paint store of your choice
  • TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “STENCIL ME!” and tell us…
  • BONUS QUESTION: … one DIY project that you’ve tackled once and are dying to try again. Is it a paint project? Something building related? Are you itching to take another whack at a crafting or sewing project?
  • GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, Nov 14th at 8pm EST or at 10,000 entries (whichever comes first)
  • NUMBER OF WINNERS: One
  • PRIZE SHIPS: We always beg every vendor to ship internationally but some companies are not legally able to vend things beyond the US (more on that here). This giveaway is open to The United States.
  • USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winner will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday as an update to this post. That’s right, come right back here on Thursday for the announcement of our winner. Good luck…

Note: We aren’t paid or perked for hosting these giveaways, we just do ‘em to thank you awesome folks for stopping in. See our Giveaway FAQ page for more info. Pics courtesy of Royal Design Studio.

    STENCIL ME!
I recently redid our hall bath & I FELL IN LOVE with the way our very vintage hamper turned out…went from dingy yellow, to navy, to its beautiful new turquoise! Since I can’t take it with me to my new home (it’s actually mom’s), I picked up another vintage hamper last weekend & can’t wait to turn it from lime green to another statement color!

I used a wall stencil at my condo and loved it. I have yet to try it at our house, but have had my eye on a few I would love to try.

    STENCIL ME!

I stenciled my kitchen wall with a homemade handcut design. I was just about to pull the trigger on another wall (I think enough time has passed allowing me to forget how long this process was the first time) in my family room so this give-away is perfect timing!

STENCIL ME! We just stripped our 100 year old door back to the original heart pine wood. It looks awesome. We are talking about doing the pocket doors next. It is a killer project but I can’t wait! Love to get this set for a few projects I have planned! :)

We faux finished all of the walls in our downstairs and it was equally time consuming and awesome. I’d love to do something fun like that in our new house.

Stencil me!! I have a hard time doing any DIY project too similar to an old one. I do woodwork with an old fence that blew over in our tornado this spring, but I can never make the same thing twice even if it’s for someone else. I just get too bored lol. ;) But I guess it’s partially a good problem because then I try new things!

I’m dying to retry our bathroom walls. We were in a hurry when we moved in, but the bathroom was disgusting, so we threw up some wall board. Well, As time has gone on, we’ve don’t other projects around the house and now the wall board just looks cheap and thrown up on the wall, which it was. Sigh. Some day soon.

Stencil me! Because I would love to use stencils to help decorate our bedroom, and other empty walls of our home. I enjoy looking at those who used stencils for their creativity, through wall design, ceiling design, concrete stencils, or furniture re-dos… amazing to say the least, and it has inspired me to take my blank slate (also known as my home of empty walls) and begin to create the home I have always dreamed of.

Stencil Me! I sanded, stained, and sealed our kitchen table – it was a $15 thrift store find – and although required a ton of labor, I would love to stain a piece of furniture again. There is nothing as rewarding as receiving compliments on furniture — little do people know, it was my handiwork :).
