Fab Freebie: Pick Your (P)age

***This giveaway is no longer accepting entries – see who won below!***

First off, thanks for all of the birthday wishes everyone. Second, random.org has selected our winner as… Lee (who just turned 31 and is so far happy with it). That’s good news for us too, since we’re both staring down at 31 now. Congrats Lee!

Guess what today is? Sherry’s 30th birthday! And to celebrate, Crate & Barrel is gonna give one of you a Benjamin to spend for every decade that Sherry’s been alive (that’s $300 in case your math skills are in a post-lunch slump). And that’s not the only thing Crate & Barrel is giving away these days. They’re also in the midst of their Pick Your Page sweepstakes where one winner will score all of the items featured in any spread from their new Spring catalog. That could earn you up to $15,000 worth of crate-y, barrel-y goodness! So feel free to pop over there to get in on that giveaway too.

Crate Barrel Pick Your Page

  • PRIZE: A $300 gift card to Crate & Barrel
  • TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “AGE ME” and tell us…
  • BONUS QUESTION: … if you could pick your age, what would you magically like to return to (or travel to the future for)? Would you love to be 11 again? Or would you give anything to relive your early 20s? Maybe you just can’t wait to settle into a relaxing retired life in your 60s or 70s?
  • GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, March 21st at 8pm EST or at 10,000 entries (whichever comes first)
  • NUMBER OF WINNERS: One
  • PRIZE SHIPS: The United States (although we do try to wrangle as many international giveaways as possible)
  • USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winner will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday as an update to this post. That’s right, come right back here on Thursday for the announcement of our winner. Good luck…

Note: We aren’t paid or perked for hosting these giveaways, we just do ‘em to thank you awesome folks for stopping in. See our Giveaway FAQ page for more info. Pics courtesy of Crate & Barrel.

I think 30 might do it for me. It was a good year!

    Happy Birthday $herdog.

    AGE ME! Happy birthday, Sherry!

Twenty-two and 16 were my two favorite years so far, but I’m pretty pleased with where things are at 28. I can’t pick a year I’d go back to, and I’d hate to fast-forward and skip part of the journey (or ruin any surprises!).

However, I’d definitely NOT want to return to 24. As a newlywed, seeing your husband leave on a 15-month deployment to Iraq and having to adjust to a whole new routine while pretending you’re not ridiculously stressed 24/7? Definitely not my favorite year. I was glad to see that one come to a close — especially uneventfully so!

Happy birthday Sherry! Hope you celebrate the big 3-0 in style!
I turned 31 a couple of months ago and although it still kinda shocks me when I see that in print, I don’t think I’d want to be any other age. Every age comes with its pros and cons and I love the life I have now!

I’d stay 26 like I am now forever. It feels good. But I’d like to also be six years old when it was easier to make friends…it is hard making adult friends.

Age me! I’m afraid I don’t want to pick. Every age so far has had something wonderful about it. While I’d love to be younger again, I’d miss my kiddos so much I wouldn’t be able to enjoy it.

I think I’d go back to 17 when I registered for college and declare the right major instead of suffering through what I thought I wanted for the entire first fall semester and then switching majors. I would’ve saved myself 2 summers of summer school!

I lived my tiny but well loved efficency apartment next to the park in the place where my heart will always be-Auburn, AL. I also had just started by Building Science/Construction management classes and was in love with learning. Oh please make me 20 again!

    Age me (please!)

I am nearing 44 and think this age is pretty dandy, but things were certainly a bit easier in my early 30’s. At that point, I had some respect and responsibility at work, was done with school and graduate school, had a nice little old house to work on with my love (now my husband). We did all our own DIY then and we really enjoyed it. Now with demanding careers and a six-year-old daughter and other responsibility, we are having to hire more professional people to do work we would rather do ourselves and it stings a bit.

Life is good, but those bygone days seem really sweet now!

    Happy Birthday, Sherry
