Fab Freebie: Outside In

***This giveaway is no longer accepting entries***

If you guys haven’t heard of papernstitch before, you’ve gotta check it out. It’s another great online source for handmade art (prints, photos, knits, etc) that’s curated monthly to exhibit a fresh crop of handpicked artists for you to shop and draw inspiration from. Might we suggest bookmarking it for your upcoming holiday gift shopping?

Papernstitch Homepage

This week, papernstitch is giving away a set of four photographic prints from one of their favorite photographers: Allison Trentelman of Rocky Top Studio. Allison is a nature photographer whose snowy birds and forest floor photo collections almost feel like they were shot in some fairy tale world (actually the Maine coast – but we still wouldn’t be surprised to spot a nymph or two in the background). We love that they let you bring both a bit of nature and lighthearted whimsy to your walls.

Papernstitch Prints

So here’s how you can score a dose of outdoors for your indoors this week:

  • PRIZE: Set of four 7″ x 7″ prints (Tufted Titmouse, Little Mushrooms, Droplets and Pixie Cup) from Rocky Top Studio courtesy of papernstitch.
  • TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “OUTSIDE PLEASE” or “INSIDE PLEASE” because…
  • BONUS QUESTION: …this week we wanna know if you consider yourself to be more of an outdoorsy or an indoorsy person. Is your perfect day spent out in the sun, surrounded by nature- maybe even camping under the stars? Or would you prefer being inside – maybe shopping somewhere, checking out a museum or movie, or even just snuggled in the comfort of your own home?
  • GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, November 25th at 8pm EST
  • NUMBER OF WINNERS: One
  • PRIZE SHIPS: To anyone, anywhere!
  • USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winner will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday. Good luck!

PS: Stay tuned for a generous discount from Rocky Top Studio when we announce our winner on Thursday. Let’s call it a little Thanksgiving present…

    INSIDE PLEASE

Just not an outside person. I’m constantly having to justify this choice. Most people I know are outside people. It’s mainly due to health problems but I do find cuddling up with a good book to be my bliss.

    IN/OUTSIDE PLEASE!

On days like today, when it’s cold and windy and dark, I’m definitely an inside person. This morning I scented up the house by whipping up some homemade banana bread, and I wouldn’t mind a cozy nap snuggled up to my fur-babies before I head out to work …

But when the forecast falls for sunshine, I want to be outside all day!

    INSIDE PLEASE!

I love the outdoors, but if I had to choose between the two, I’d pick indoors. Maybe a 40/60 split. (And these prints would look fabulous on our as-yet unadorned living room wall!)

    OUTSIDE PLEASE!!

I grew up in Massachusetts but now live in North Carolina, so I take advantage of all the warm weather while I can (when I’m used to having snow at this time of the year!) I love being able to eat outside at restaurants through October and starting again around March or April and do it every chance I get. :)

I’m a total homebody…so I love snuggling on the couch at home or in front of my computer. Crowds just intimidate and exhaust me.

Inside & Outside Please! I love curling up indoors when it’s cold outside, next to the fire with a cup of hot cocoa… but as soon as it warms up I’d rather be outdoors! Fishing, camping, yard work, gardening, walking, talking the kids to the park… but we live in GA so Fall & Spring are outdoor seasons… summers end up way too hot, and we spend a good bit indoors – but we’re planning on turning our basement into a rec room so the kids have an indoor place to play on rainy, cold, or “too hot” days!

Due to a physical disability, I’ve learned to enjoy the comforts of home and hearth. I do appreciate getting to see the beauties of outdoors, though (really love watching the birds that come to my feeder throughout the year.)

OUTSIDE, PLEASE. Strangely enough, I considered myself an indoor person for most of my life. But now that I have a dog and a stay-at-home job, I’d rather be outdoors, walking around or people watching or hiking or taking in breathless views that come from living in New Hampshire in the fall. And then writing about it. That’s where the indoors part comes in.

    OUTSIDE PLEASE!!

I love those pictures – they capture such lovely moments. I don’t spend as much time outdoors as I would like, but I sometimes get frustrated with being indoors and get this hunger to be in nature. If it says anything, I run a few hours every morning – and I will only run if I can do it outside in a lovely place like the greenway down the street, and my 9-month old has been on four camping trips so far.

INSIDE PLEASE! I’ve called myself an “inside girl” for years now. I appreciate a beautiful day with a fun outside activity but for the most part the walls of my home give me comfort. Nothing like a good book or a new magazine & a cup of tea or a glass of wine curled up on my sofa!
