If you guys haven’t heard of papernstitch before, you’ve gotta check it out. It’s another great online source for handmade art (prints, photos, knits, etc) that’s curated monthly to exhibit a fresh crop of handpicked artists for you to shop and draw inspiration from. This week, papernstitch is giving away a set of four photographic prints from one of their favorite photographers: Allison Trentelman of Rocky Top Studio. Allison is a nature photographer whose snowy birds and forest floor photo collections almost feel like they were shot in some fairy tale world (actually the Maine coast – but we still wouldn’t be surprised to spot a nymph or two in the background). We love that they let you bring both a bit of nature and lighthearted whimsy to your walls.

OUTSIDE PLEASE! My husband and I are avid about dressing up the outside of our house (the yard!) and spend all of our “spare change” on camping equiptment. When we went backpacking a couple of weekends ago, I (for the millionth time) marvelled at how the stars seem to multiply the longer you stare at them. Outside, pleeeeeease!

I grew up in the country (small town Texas), so I was always outside working, playing and more working. I would tend to my grandparents 1 acre garden and help them hall hay for the animals on the farm. We definitely lived off the land, and this was only about 20 years ago! These days I enjoy being inside and making my house more of a home. I am always inspired by the goings on of YHL! Keep up the amazing work.

Tough choice because I do like to get outside a lot. I love wandering around in parks taking pictures. But overall I’m more of an indoorsy type. There’s nothing I like better than snuggling with my husband on the couch while watching a movie. Reading a book to my daughter, sitting together in the glider.
