If you guys haven’t heard of papernstitch before, you’ve gotta check it out. It’s another great online source for handmade art (prints, photos, knits, etc) that’s curated monthly to exhibit a fresh crop of handpicked artists for you to shop and draw inspiration from. This week, papernstitch is giving away a set of four photographic prints from one of their favorite photographers: Allison Trentelman of Rocky Top Studio. Allison is a nature photographer whose snowy birds and forest floor photo collections almost feel like they were shot in some fairy tale world (actually the Maine coast – but we still wouldn’t be surprised to spot a nymph or two in the background). We love that they let you bring both a bit of nature and lighthearted whimsy to your walls.
So here’s how you can score a dose of outdoors for your indoors this week:

INSIDE OUT PLEASE…I can’t decide…both have definate appeal to me. I love to be outside a lot but on nights like tonight when it is cold and wet out (it’s raining here in NC) I relish being warm and cozy inside!

As much as I would love to be a wild woman, forging her way through the wilderness, it’s just not me. I’m a mess without modern conveniences. I’ll submit myself to camping only if a full shower is available, rolling my luggage along the campsite, packed full with my hairdryer and other necessities.
I will take a nice fall walk every now and then, but that’s about as outdoorsy as i get.

It depends on the weather. I grew up in snowy Minnesota, so I like to snuggle up with a good book or movie in the winter. However, Minnesota summers are BEAUTIFUL and I love to spend the day outside at the lake: swimming, sunning, and skiing!

INSIDE OUT PLEASE! I know we were supposed to pick one, but I’m really both! During the summer I love to be outside at the beach, on the boat, anything that involves the sun and water! But during the cold Michigan winters, I would much rather be inside watching the snow fall from under a cozy blanket with a good book! Throw in some hot chocolate with marshmallows and I’m a happy girl :)

Outside please! I just love the outdoors! Living in Michigan, my hubby and I take full advantage of all that the great lakes state has to offer.
