Fab Freebie: Outside In

***This giveaway is no longer accepting entries***

If you guys haven’t heard of papernstitch before, you’ve gotta check it out. It’s another great online source for handmade art (prints, photos, knits, etc) that’s curated monthly to exhibit a fresh crop of handpicked artists for you to shop and draw inspiration from. Might we suggest bookmarking it for your upcoming holiday gift shopping?

Papernstitch Homepage

This week, papernstitch is giving away a set of four photographic prints from one of their favorite photographers: Allison Trentelman of Rocky Top Studio. Allison is a nature photographer whose snowy birds and forest floor photo collections almost feel like they were shot in some fairy tale world (actually the Maine coast – but we still wouldn’t be surprised to spot a nymph or two in the background). We love that they let you bring both a bit of nature and lighthearted whimsy to your walls.

Papernstitch Prints

So here’s how you can score a dose of outdoors for your indoors this week:

  • PRIZE: Set of four 7″ x 7″ prints (Tufted Titmouse, Little Mushrooms, Droplets and Pixie Cup) from Rocky Top Studio courtesy of papernstitch.
  • TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “OUTSIDE PLEASE” or “INSIDE PLEASE” because…
  • BONUS QUESTION: …this week we wanna know if you consider yourself to be more of an outdoorsy or an indoorsy person. Is your perfect day spent out in the sun, surrounded by nature- maybe even camping under the stars? Or would you prefer being inside – maybe shopping somewhere, checking out a museum or movie, or even just snuggled in the comfort of your own home?
  • GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, November 25th at 8pm EST
  • NUMBER OF WINNERS: One
  • PRIZE SHIPS: To anyone, anywhere!
  • USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winner will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday. Good luck!

PS: Stay tuned for a generous discount from Rocky Top Studio when we announce our winner on Thursday. Let’s call it a little Thanksgiving present…

INSIDE PLEASE. Not that I’m proud of it. I wish I were an outdoorsy person, but when it comes down to it I’m a big wimp who loves a couch and a good book.

    “OUTSIDE PLEASE”

We got a hammock this summer and EVERY Sunday I spent at least 3 hours outside reading and sleeping. It was AMAZING! I think I might it up in the basement this winter :)

    INSIDE PLEASE!

I love the outdoors, but I’d say I’m more partial to being inside making pillows, painting, reading or curled up with a movie. Of course when summer comes around, I’m outside hunting for a good swimming spot!

    INSIDE PLEASE!

I enjoy being outdoors (sometimes) but generally, give me a comfortable place to lounge, a cup of tea, a soft blanket and a good book, and I’m a happy camper. When it’s nice outside I like to read outdoors, though – a marriage of the two!

OUTSIDE PLEASE. Although, I’d say it’s darn close to an even split… I love camping, hiking, boating, football games/tailgating, etc., but I also love cooking, indulging in my favorite TV shows or a movie on the couch, etc.

I love the outdoors and if I had to choose a place to spend my time it would be out there. Except for maybe in the winter when I’d prefer to be inside more often than not. :)

Tough question because I love both! Reading/cooking/watching movies are how I spend most of my time away from work now, but when the weather is nice I get out to enjoy it as often as I can.

I live in Denver…right on the edge of the rockies. We have 300 days of sunshine as well, how on earth could I stay inside all day?! Even the winter is beautiful (I don’t ski) and the sun helps you stay warm!

    INSIDE, PLEASE!

I would totally love to say I was an outside person, but with my busy lifestyle these days I have to keep it real – I can’t make time for the outdoors as much as I want to, and I still find solace in curling up on the couch when I have free time to kill.

Inside/Outside Please! I think the earth is truly amazing. For my honeymoon, my husband and I chose to go to Kuaui because it has so mucy amazing geography on one little island. The “Little Grand Canyon” was truly amazing. But because of my MS, being outside for too long in any extreme condition makes it hard. So I make up for it by opening windows, putting plants around, and hanging up prints of nature.

It’s snowshoe season where I live in the Canadian north and yesterday I volunteered at my first dog mushing race…while I’m not as hard core as the skijorers (cross country skiing while harnessed to two or three pulling dogs) I’ll never get over the feeling of standing out in the bush watching the snow fall and hearing the ravens call!

Though I won’t lie and say I didn’t love coming home to tea and slanket cozyness :-)

by the way this is my favorite ever give away and I might just have to buy a few of these myself if I don’t win. I go to the Maine coast as often as I can (usually only once a year) but my photos aren’t half so magical.
