Today my boyfriend and I will be celebrating Valentines day at our 1st apartment together, watching a movie and eating dinner that he makes every year for Valentines Day. This year as a gift instead of flowers or candy or a teddy bear that will get thrown away eventually. I got a handwritten love letter, it was the sweetest most heartfelt gift I've ever received.

This year I spent the day with my son and my foster children. My husband had to work (darn military and their 24 hour shifts!). It was spent getting the boys haircuts, taking one of the foster children to see his parents, and taking my son to wrestling practice. It was a day much like any other Monday, but it was perfect in it’s own way. I spent it with some of the most important people in my world, committing random acts of adoration.

This was our first V-Day as parents, so we decided to stay in and have a night to ourselves. Our little one went to Grandma and Grandpas and we had a feast, lots of wine, massages and a soak in the hot tub. It was a fabulous nice, very much needed!
