Fab Freebie: Oooh, Shiny!

***This giveaway is no longer accepting entries – scroll down to see who won!***

Thanks to V-Day, we’re straying from our usual home improvement & decor related prizes in favor of some customized and sentimental jewelry from Lisa Leonard Designs. Lisa brings a certain DIY spirit to her necklaces, bracelets, earrings, and other body bling – hand cutting, polishing, and assembling each piece carefully for that “made with love” feeling. She actually helped us celebrate V-day last year by giving away $100 gift cards to two winners – and this year she’s raising the stakes and giving away THREE benjamins worth of her meaningful designs to three random lucky winners. Happy Valentine’s Day indeed.

Lisa Leonard Giveaway

  • PRIZE: An $100 gift card towards any purchase at Lisa Leonard Designs.
  • TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “HAPPY VALENTINE’S DAY!” and…
  • BONUS QUESTION: … tell us how (and with whom) you’re celebrating today. Something romantic with your true love? A quiet evening in with a good book and some hot cocoa? A romantic night with your kitty or pooch? Feel free to comment with “Crappy Valentine’s Day!” and tell us why this holiday just ain’t your cup of tea if that’s the case.
  • GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, February 16th at 8pm EST
  • NUMBER OF WINNERS: Three
  • PRIZE SHIPS: Anywhere in the world!
  • USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winners will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday as an update to this post. That’s right, come right back here on Thursday morning for the announcement of our winner. Good luck…

******************************

Random.org has selected three people to dish out some bling to and they are… Megan (whose husband made her pizza for V-Day), Tera (who was spending the evening at a concert with her husband) and Kyle (who was doing dinner with her husband… after doing some laundry first). Congrats ladies!

Note: We weren’t paid or perk’d for hosting this giveaway, we just like rewarding our lovely readers! See our Giveaway FAQs page for more info. Pics from Lisa Leonard Designs.

    HAPPY VALENTINES DAY!

My husband who is at school 10 hours away came home for the weekend to spend and early Valentines with me. Today he surprised me with a flower delivery while I was teaching at school today! My kindergarten students and fellow teachers loved it! And of course so did I! He even remembered to include our wedding flower!

    HAPPY VALENTINE’S DAY!

We have been celebrating all weekend. This past week I taught our 23-month-old daughter how to say, “Saint Cupcake,” (she already knew cupcake so it wasn’t a big stretch) so she could ask my hubby (her daddy) to take us to a delicious cupcake shop here in Portland, OR, as our first annual tradition of getting some gourmet cupcakes for Valentine’s day. We went there on Saturday morning and then her daddy surprised me with a trip to the florist to pick out a beautiful Valentine’s bouquet.

Yesterday I gave him his gift – a printout promising him a pair of tickets to see the Portland Timbers, our new MLS soccer team, play once the tickets go on sale.

This morning I awoke to a card from him. And tonight we ate one of our favorite homemade dinners and the girls (we also have an 8-month-old) and I gave him our cards.

    Happy Valentine’s Day!

We ordered Lou Malnati’s Deep Dish Pizza online (from chicago to Miami!!) and a nice dinner at home then exchanged cards…My hubby got creative with the front of the cards, “for you know who…from your not so secret admirer”…”to someone magical, from a practical occasionally whimsical sort” Swoon….

Of course, I signed his card, with love from your snugglebunny (which was on a valentines card from years of ole and we still quote it) and “your googlie wifey”

we are an equally goofy pair…

Happy Hearts Day and lots of love all around…

    Maggie

Happy Valentine’s Day! I spent the day celebrating with my husband of almost 11 years and my 3 boys. I have an 8 year old, a 3 year old and a 12 week old and they are the sweetest valentine’s! We all made cards for each other, well, the hubs bought mine but he also bought me fresh cut tulips so that evens out. A dinner picnic on a palette in the living room and books about love for the kids before bed. It was a great day!

I spent the day with my son. He’s 10 months old and my whole heart! I spent the quiet time after he fell asleep with my husband talking about how we used to spend the holiday, but agreeing that we love the new way much more! Hope you had a great 1st Valentines Day with your little girl!
