Fab Freebie: Oooh, Shiny!

***This giveaway is no longer accepting entries – scroll down to see who won!***

Thanks to V-Day, we’re straying from our usual home improvement & decor related prizes in favor of some customized and sentimental jewelry from Lisa Leonard Designs. Lisa brings a certain DIY spirit to her necklaces, bracelets, earrings, and other body bling – hand cutting, polishing, and assembling each piece carefully for that “made with love” feeling. She actually helped us celebrate V-day last year by giving away $100 gift cards to two winners – and this year she’s raising the stakes and giving away THREE benjamins worth of her meaningful designs to three random lucky winners. Happy Valentine’s Day indeed.

Lisa Leonard Giveaway

  • PRIZE: An $100 gift card towards any purchase at Lisa Leonard Designs.
  • TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “HAPPY VALENTINE’S DAY!” and…
  • BONUS QUESTION: … tell us how (and with whom) you’re celebrating today. Something romantic with your true love? A quiet evening in with a good book and some hot cocoa? A romantic night with your kitty or pooch? Feel free to comment with “Crappy Valentine’s Day!” and tell us why this holiday just ain’t your cup of tea if that’s the case.
  • GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, February 16th at 8pm EST
  • NUMBER OF WINNERS: Three
  • PRIZE SHIPS: Anywhere in the world!
  • USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winners will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday as an update to this post. That’s right, come right back here on Thursday morning for the announcement of our winner. Good luck…

******************************

Random.org has selected three people to dish out some bling to and they are… Megan (whose husband made her pizza for V-Day), Tera (who was spending the evening at a concert with her husband) and Kyle (who was doing dinner with her husband… after doing some laundry first). Congrats ladies!

Note: We weren’t paid or perk’d for hosting this giveaway, we just like rewarding our lovely readers! See our Giveaway FAQs page for more info. Pics from Lisa Leonard Designs.

HAPPY VALENTINES DAY! Comment # 3,333 – that should count for something, right? I’m spending my day of looove with my 2.5 year old that was waiting at the door for me when I arrived home with a rose in his hand crying… yeah, that’s right, crying. “What’s wrong honey? Is that beautiful flower for me?” And what was his reply? “I open the door mommy because va-tines day. Go back outside.” What? “You want me to go back outside so you can open the door?” (Still crying) “Yeeeeah.” So out I go and stand out there for what seems like forever until he finally manages to get the front door open. “HAPPY VA-TINES DAY, MOMMY!” Like I hadn’t yet seen him. Children are priceless gifts! Oh, and I got roses and dinner on the table via my wonderful husband too!

Happy Valentines Day John, Sherry, Clara & Burger!!!

We celebrated Valentine’s Day on Friday, February 4th because our kids had an event to go to which left our evening available – yay! My hubby took me to the Melting Pot (a fondue restaurant) that we’ve gone to for the last three years on Valentines Day! Ooh, it was SO yummy!

So today should have just been any old day but instead he surprised me with bagels (I’ve been craving them!), a pot of gorgeous purple flowers (that made him think of me) and one of my favorite dinners that he makes – meatloaf! (What can I say, I’m not hard to please!)

Hope everyone has a wonderful day regardless of what they decide to do (or not do!)

    Hugs,
    Christine aka The Stampin’ Ninja

Spending the day away from my husband, but we get to spend all afternoon together tomorrow…a rare opportunity for us since we both work about 30 hours a week and are both full-time students, but it’s okay! All the better when we do get to be together!

    HAPPY VALENTINES DAY!

This has always been one of my favorite holidays–single or coupled. I love the window decorations and unashamed combination of pink and red during this otherwise dreary time of year.

I spent the day on the slopes in Steamboat with my hubby today. Luckily we each think the other looks smashing with a goggle tan. :)

HAPPY VALENTINE’S DAY! Celebrating with my husband and 2 sons. I made a heart shaped red velvet cake with white frosting and red sprinkles. It’s on our table covered with a valentine tablecloth. Also on the table is a thrifted milk glass candy dish filled with conversation hearts. My husband gave me red, pink, white carnations (my fave) and chocolate. We’re having pizza for dinner and then watching a family movie. Hope your day is wonderful too!
