Thanks to V-Day, we’re straying from our usual home improvement & decor related prizes in favor of some customized and sentimental jewelry from Lisa Leonard Designs. Lisa brings a certain DIY spirit to her necklaces, bracelets, earrings, and other body bling – hand cutting, polishing, and assembling each piece carefully for that “made with love” feeling. She actually helped us celebrate V-day last year by giving away $100 gift cards to two winners – and this year she’s raising the stakes and giving away THREE benjamins worth of her meaningful designs to three random lucky winners. Although the “rule” in our house is that we don’t overdo it on V-Day, my husband totally outdid himself this year, by surprising me with two $100 certificates to the spa, so that I could take a girl friend of my choice. If that isn’t darling, I don’t know what is. :)
For him – I bought a new cologne which he loves, and a gift card so he can splurge on all his fancy coffee drinks!
Tonight, we’ll keeping it simple with dinner at home and cuddles with our puppies while we watch the newest episode of Hawaii Five-0 :)

HAPPY VALENTINE’S DAY…. but… wait. Valentine’s Day? What Valentines Day? All the boys I’ve ever liked live far across the ocean, so I spent Valentine’s day cooking curry, doing Yoga with my Mum and ridiculing the BBC’s newest sci-fi show. Next year, maybe, some more love?
That said, I read a French horoscope at Christmas which basically told me to be patient because every aspect of my life (family, love, career, personal) would begin in October 2011. How did it know that’s when I start University? :O
