Happy Valentine’s Day. Tonight my husband is trying his hand at making pad thai for us and our two year old son Charlie. It has been a year of many up and downs for us, and I do feel truly blessed that tonight we can just love being with each other as a team, and a family, and friends. It’s a much simpler holiday for us now than it was ten years ago–and for that I am grateful too.

I hate this holiday, I dont think love should be celebrated one day out of the year. It should be shown to your significant other every day. Sure the flowers and chocolate are nice to get, but when its expected on this sappy holiday, its boring. In my opinion, it is better to receive it when you are least expecting it.
