I’m carrying on a family tradition this year with my two little girls and will be making lasagna. Why lasagna, you ask? The answer is that my mom cannot cook to save her life, so she saved lasagna for a once a year treat on Valentine’s Day. Only problem was we always ended up having to eat it out of bowls because of some kind of malfunction or other with cooking times, ingredients, etc. I’m putting a twist on the tradition by making a delicious “lasagna” recipe that uses bowtie noodles instead of the traditional pan layered recipe, so eating it out of bowls will be on purpose instead of due to damage control. :)
