My three-year-old is just “getting” the whole concept of holidays, so we spent the weekend making valentines for his preschool class. A LOT of glitter glue and construction paper, but he was very proud of himself! I dug out one of those Hallmark “record your voice” books I bought with a coupon and squirreled a million years ago- “All The Ways I Love You”- and recorded it for him and his baby brother while he was at school today. Tonight is a heart shaped pizza for dinner. V-Day is very different since kids, but I wouldn’t change it for the world!

My hubby and I are celebrating our first Valentine’s Day as a married couple with an uber romantic date since we only got married a few days ago and this is actually the first V-Day we get to spend together in our 4 year+ relationship. Actually, hubby and I have to work today, but he did surprise me yesterday with a dozen red roses (cliche, I know, but I love ’em!) and a nice dinner out.
