Fab Freebie: Oooh, Shiny!

***This giveaway is no longer accepting entries – scroll down to see who won!***

Thanks to V-Day, we’re straying from our usual home improvement & decor related prizes in favor of some customized and sentimental jewelry from Lisa Leonard Designs. Lisa brings a certain DIY spirit to her necklaces, bracelets, earrings, and other body bling – hand cutting, polishing, and assembling each piece carefully for that “made with love” feeling. She actually helped us celebrate V-day last year by giving away $100 gift cards to two winners – and this year she’s raising the stakes and giving away THREE benjamins worth of her meaningful designs to three random lucky winners. Happy Valentine’s Day indeed.

Lisa Leonard Giveaway

  • PRIZE: An $100 gift card towards any purchase at Lisa Leonard Designs.
  • TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “HAPPY VALENTINE’S DAY!” and…
  • BONUS QUESTION: … tell us how (and with whom) you’re celebrating today. Something romantic with your true love? A quiet evening in with a good book and some hot cocoa? A romantic night with your kitty or pooch? Feel free to comment with “Crappy Valentine’s Day!” and tell us why this holiday just ain’t your cup of tea if that’s the case.
  • GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, February 16th at 8pm EST
  • NUMBER OF WINNERS: Three
  • PRIZE SHIPS: Anywhere in the world!
  • USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winners will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday as an update to this post. That’s right, come right back here on Thursday morning for the announcement of our winner. Good luck…

******************************

Random.org has selected three people to dish out some bling to and they are… Megan (whose husband made her pizza for V-Day), Tera (who was spending the evening at a concert with her husband) and Kyle (who was doing dinner with her husband… after doing some laundry first). Congrats ladies!

Note: We weren’t paid or perk’d for hosting this giveaway, we just like rewarding our lovely readers! See our Giveaway FAQs page for more info. Pics from Lisa Leonard Designs.

    Happy valentines day!

Made heart shaped chocolate chip pancakes for my three year old this morning… She and her baby sister came to see me at work with their dad to drop off chocolates in a heart shaped box… And tonight family dinner with a few more vday treats. My husband and I snuck out to our favorite restaurant last night to celebrate.

    Happy Valentine’s Day!
My three-year-old is just “getting” the whole concept of holidays, so we spent the weekend making valentines for his preschool class. A LOT of glitter glue and construction paper, but he was very proud of himself! I dug out one of those Hallmark “record your voice” books I bought with a coupon and squirreled a million years ago- “All The Ways I Love You”- and recorded it for him and his baby brother while he was at school today. Tonight is a heart shaped pizza for dinner. V-Day is very different since kids, but I wouldn’t change it for the world!

    Crappy Valentine’s Day!

Alright, so normally I would say “Happy Valentine’s Day”, but this year (thanks to medical school rotations), my hubby is working nights all week, so I won’t be seeing him tonight – or all week – at all! Sort of a crappy V-Day in my opinion, although we will be making up for it this weekend! :)

    Thanks for the great giveaway!

    HAPPY VALENTINE’S DAY!

My hubby and I are celebrating our first Valentine’s Day as a married couple with an uber romantic date since we only got married a few days ago and this is actually the first V-Day we get to spend together in our 4 year+ relationship. We’ll have dinner at a local Turkish restaurant, walk through the park to the planetarium, see a special Valentine’s Day show there and we’re gonna go dancing afterwards. I can’t wait!

    Happy V-day!

Actually, hubby and I have to work today, but he did surprise me yesterday with a dozen red roses (cliche, I know, but I love ’em!) and a nice dinner out. Which I then ate by myself, since he had to take an important phone call about a job offer. Oh well! Oh, and then we cuddled on the couch and watched “Shall We Dance” with Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers. :)
