Fab Freebie: Oooh, Shiny!

***This giveaway is no longer accepting entries – scroll down to see who won!***

Thanks to V-Day, we’re straying from our usual home improvement & decor related prizes in favor of some customized and sentimental jewelry from Lisa Leonard Designs. Lisa brings a certain DIY spirit to her necklaces, bracelets, earrings, and other body bling – hand cutting, polishing, and assembling each piece carefully for that “made with love” feeling. She actually helped us celebrate V-day last year by giving away $100 gift cards to two winners – and this year she’s raising the stakes and giving away THREE benjamins worth of her meaningful designs to three random lucky winners. Happy Valentine’s Day indeed.

Lisa Leonard Giveaway

  • PRIZE: An $100 gift card towards any purchase at Lisa Leonard Designs.
  • TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “HAPPY VALENTINE’S DAY!” and…
  • BONUS QUESTION: … tell us how (and with whom) you’re celebrating today. Something romantic with your true love? A quiet evening in with a good book and some hot cocoa? A romantic night with your kitty or pooch? Feel free to comment with “Crappy Valentine’s Day!” and tell us why this holiday just ain’t your cup of tea if that’s the case.
  • GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, February 16th at 8pm EST
  • NUMBER OF WINNERS: Three
  • PRIZE SHIPS: Anywhere in the world!
  • USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winners will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday as an update to this post. That’s right, come right back here on Thursday morning for the announcement of our winner. Good luck…

******************************

Random.org has selected three people to dish out some bling to and they are… Megan (whose husband made her pizza for V-Day), Tera (who was spending the evening at a concert with her husband) and Kyle (who was doing dinner with her husband… after doing some laundry first). Congrats ladies!

Note: We weren’t paid or perk’d for hosting this giveaway, we just like rewarding our lovely readers! See our Giveaway FAQs page for more info. Pics from Lisa Leonard Designs.

    CRAPPY VALENTINES DAY!

For valentines day I found out I have a huge painful cyst on my ovary which will most likely require surgery. This really stinks!

My husband and I were supposed to go on a romantic date last night to celebrate, but I came down with a cold, so instead it was spent with him taking care of me :)

    HAPPY VALENTINE’S DAY!

My husband and I celebrated yesterday with exchanging gifts and cards. I made dinner and dessert for him last night, so I’m hoping he will do the same for me tonight! And of course we’ll be snuggling with our two kitties as well. :)

Crappy Valentine’s Day! This year my husband and I will not do anything. Valentine’s Day is not good this year because my father in law (whose birthday is today) was diagnosed last week with final stages of pancreatic cancer. He is home with us and today has been the worst for him so far :-(

    CRAPPY VALENTINE’S DAY!

I’m actually in for a regular (nice) day, but it’s MUCH more hilarious to say crappy valentine’s day..I’ve never heard that one before! I’m gonna go home and have a lovely stir fry with my husband, play with my kitties and knit the night away. Sounds divine to me, but I’m not the type to save my love (or my chocolate) for a special occasion :-)

    HAPPY VALENTINE’S DAY!

Hubs and I are going out to dinner tonight — just to a small, local Italian place that happens to be one of our favorites. I hear he has some kind of surprise for me too. My surprise gift to him was waking up early (I am NOT a morning person!) and making monkey bread for a special breakfast.
