Fab Freebie: Oooh, Shiny!

***This giveaway is no longer accepting entries – scroll down to see who won!***

Thanks to V-Day, we’re straying from our usual home improvement & decor related prizes in favor of some customized and sentimental jewelry from Lisa Leonard Designs. Lisa brings a certain DIY spirit to her necklaces, bracelets, earrings, and other body bling – hand cutting, polishing, and assembling each piece carefully for that “made with love” feeling. She actually helped us celebrate V-day last year by giving away $100 gift cards to two winners – and this year she’s raising the stakes and giving away THREE benjamins worth of her meaningful designs to three random lucky winners. Happy Valentine’s Day indeed.

Lisa Leonard Giveaway

  • PRIZE: An $100 gift card towards any purchase at Lisa Leonard Designs.
  • TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “HAPPY VALENTINE’S DAY!” and…
  • BONUS QUESTION: … tell us how (and with whom) you’re celebrating today. Something romantic with your true love? A quiet evening in with a good book and some hot cocoa? A romantic night with your kitty or pooch? Feel free to comment with “Crappy Valentine’s Day!” and tell us why this holiday just ain’t your cup of tea if that’s the case.
  • GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, February 16th at 8pm EST
  • NUMBER OF WINNERS: Three
  • PRIZE SHIPS: Anywhere in the world!
  • USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winners will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday as an update to this post. That’s right, come right back here on Thursday morning for the announcement of our winner. Good luck…

******************************

Random.org has selected three people to dish out some bling to and they are… Megan (whose husband made her pizza for V-Day), Tera (who was spending the evening at a concert with her husband) and Kyle (who was doing dinner with her husband… after doing some laundry first). Congrats ladies!

Note: We weren’t paid or perk’d for hosting this giveaway, we just like rewarding our lovely readers! See our Giveaway FAQs page for more info. Pics from Lisa Leonard Designs.

Happy Valentine’s Day! My boyfriend and I spent the weekend doing some coastal backpacking so since we’re sore and it’s on a rainy Monday we’re probably going to get some Thai, pho or Chinese take-out and watch a couple movies while snuggling with our cats!

Happy Valentine’s Day! We celebrated a little on Saturday by letting our 5.5 yr old son decorate a cake on his own, which consisted of him pouring out several containers of sprinkles onto the cake. Sprinkles are very crunchy :) We’ll finish tonight by exchanging gifts after a not-so-fabulous dinner of fish sticks, mac-n-cheese, and broccoli (gotta eat something green).

This morning I got the sweetest card from my 4-year-old. He had his big sister help him figure out how to write “I Love You Mommy” — love it so much.

As it turns out, I guess we aren’t doing anything to celebrate! I thought I had sleuthed out a plot by my hubby to take me out to dinner, but it turns out I was wrong. No plans in the works! Bummer.

Happy valentines day! I’m spending the majority of my day working while my hubby has the day off. We’ve planned the most romantic date ever…taking our 2 daughters (6 years and 6 months) to their check-ups. I told my husband that my present this year will be the co-pays! But I did get him a card.

Happy Valentine’s Day! Not sure what my boyfriend and I will be doing to celebrate. We had a great, relaxing weekend together, and he bought me a bike for the holiday, so I’m pretty content if we just do our usual Monday dinner at home and couch time watching/making fun of The Bachelor together.

    Happy Valentine’s Day!

I’m spending V-Day with my husband, our dog Gabby and a few pounds of delicious crab legs! This weekend was our one year anniversary of Gabby becoming a member of our family, which makes the holiday something worth celebrating. (I sort of don’t like V-Day at all thanks to being forced for years to give out valentines to kids in class I didn’t like- I don’t want to give you a valentine if you punch other kids, that’s just not cool- but I’m trying to learn to love it now that I’m married!)
