Wow. You guys are a lot more opinionated about the periodic table than I had assumed. Anyways, random.org selected the winner of this giveaway as… Andi W. (who likes Sodium for all of the salty snacks it provides, but admitted “My inner nerd wants to vote adamantium.”) Congrats Andi!

Hold onto your seats, chemistry nerds. We’re giving away some magnesium this week. It’s coming in the form of Oreck’s latest and lightest-weight upright vacuum ever – the Magnesium.     Copernicium as it is one of the rarest elements; only about 75 atoms have ever been detected. I think that’s cool!

    My favorite element is totally Potassium. Potassium is so cool that it’s symbol isn’t even a P! I also enjoy bananas, so it is all around just fabulous.

    Mg ME!!! I’m gunna have to say Helium. Word on the street is the helium supply on earth is running out! Does that mean party balloons are going to get super expensive once the supply is nearly gone and the demand for balloons at parties continues to rise?!

    My vacuum is on truly at the end of its life! I’d love to “adopt” a new vacuum especially one that is light weight!

    I never had a favorite because I hated chemistry. So I guess in some ways I loved H (1) hydrogen because it was the easiest to remember :-)
