Fab Freebie: Love Is Blinds

*** This giveaway is no longer accepting entries – scroll down to see who won!***

Sure, we’d all love to gaze out of our home’s windows at some breathtakingly beautiful vista. But in reality, some windows are portals to the back of the neighbor’s fence, an unwelcome glare, or even the view of a man walking around in his tighty-whities all night because he doesn’t realize his curtains are sheer (true story from my New York City days – yup, just like the naked guy from Friends). All the more reason to appreciate window coverings, like these beauties from Next Day Blinds:

NextDayBlinds Image 1

This week Next Day Blinds is shucking out $200 to one lucky lad or lady to spend towards any custom-made, premium-quality, ready-the-next-day blinds, shades, sheers, rollers, romans or even shutters. And they’ve got enough styles to make your head spin (which you can browse right here).

NextDayBlinds Image 2

Here are the giveaway deets:

  • PRIZE: $200 towards any Next Day Blinds order
  • TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “BLIND ME!” and…
  • BONUS QUESTION: …tell us about a view you wish you could cover (or are glad that you’ve already covered). Maybe the neighbors can look right into your bathroom (or vice versa)? Or you once stayed in a hotel room with a not so nice view?
  • GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, November 10th at 8pm EST
  • NUMBER OF WINNERS: One
  • PRIZE SHIPS: The 50 United States
  • USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winner will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday as an update to this post. That’s right, come right back here Thursday morning for the announcement of our winner. Good luck…

******************************

And our one lucky winner (as selected by random.org) is… Hien (who’s looking to cover up some sun-drenched kitchen windows). Congrats!

Note: We weren’t paid or perk’d for hosting this giveaway, we just take them on to reward our lovely readers! See our Giveaway FAQs page for more info. Pics from Next Day Blinds.

    BLIND ME!
The door off the sunroom has this amazing view of the neighbors taking the dogs out to do thier business in the morning while I’m trying to relax with my coffee. Shutters needed!

Blind me!!! … My house desperately needs blinds!!! I have no blinds anywhere in my house, except for the bathroom!! I hated the old ones when I moved it and ripped them out, but haven’t found anything I love, so everyone can see me run around naked!! Eeek!

I’d love to cover the view of our neighbor’s house. Our guest room window looks onto the side of their house and their not-so-well-taken-care-of yard.

I would love to add some shades in our bedroom. Our neighborhood is pretty tight so we are close to all our neighbors. I could really do without the fake flowers stapled up on the roof line of our neighbors patio, complete with weird green mesh walls and carpet! Ugh.

    BLIND ME!

My house is on a busy (and west-facing) main town road and sidewalk with two floor-to-ceiling windows. We had beautiful blinds until our dog ate through them the first week we moved into the house (from an apartment) because the mailman was on our porch. Now, I’m embarrassed to even sit on my couch in my PJs for fear of a walker seeing in much less the evening solar laser that occurs as the sun sets and reflects off our wood floors!

I had to cover my bedroom windows with thick curtains because my neighbor has a security light that stays on ALL NIGHT LONG and gets 10x brighter any time something crosses its path (squirrels, leaves, you name it). It’s like living next to a stadium.

    BLIND ME!
Our dining room table is situated in front of a small bay window. The width of the two side windows is unique (15″), so we’ve been living without anything on these windows which are at the front of our house since we moved in about a year ago. Every morning I sit at the table (in full view of anyone walking or driving by) in my bathrobe, with bedhead, sans makeup, etc. to feed our daughter breakfast. It’s embarrassing. It must end. This would help. :)

WE have a “naked neighbor” story too…from our bathroom (our only window that we do NOT have wooden blinds on….just sheer curtains…My husband was once opening the curtains to get some cool air in the bathroom and saw neighbor (70-year-old man) totally naked, putting his clothes in the washing machine. We live in Southern California where people sometimes have their washer/dryer outside under an overhang. Strange on so many accounts…

Bottom line…We would love some great window coverings in the bathroom!

I would get new blinds for our living, as the ones that came with the house are white and sort of industrial-ugly. 2nd choice would be the bathroom, but I think we have a solution for that…fake frosted glass! Looks nice and is cheap!

BLIND ME! I wish I could cover my bathroom window since the window was sealed properly and now it is ruined so I will have to buy another one. My house still sports those lovely roller shades the sellers left with the house until I figure out my window coverings for all 26 windows in our twin house which seems excessive considering I used to live in a row home.
