Fab Freebie: Love Is Blinds

*** This giveaway is no longer accepting entries – scroll down to see who won!***

Sure, we’d all love to gaze out of our home’s windows at some breathtakingly beautiful vista. But in reality, some windows are portals to the back of the neighbor’s fence, an unwelcome glare, or even the view of a man walking around in his tighty-whities all night because he doesn’t realize his curtains are sheer (true story from my New York City days – yup, just like the naked guy from Friends). All the more reason to appreciate window coverings, like these beauties from Next Day Blinds:

NextDayBlinds Image 1

This week Next Day Blinds is shucking out $200 to one lucky lad or lady to spend towards any custom-made, premium-quality, ready-the-next-day blinds, shades, sheers, rollers, romans or even shutters. And they’ve got enough styles to make your head spin (which you can browse right here).

Here are the giveaway deets:

  • PRIZE: $200 towards any Next Day Blinds order
  • TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “BLIND ME!” and…
  • BONUS QUESTION: …tell us about a view you wish you could cover (or are glad that you’ve already covered). Maybe the neighbors can look right into your bathroom (or vice versa)? Or you once stayed in a hotel room with a not so nice view?
  • GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, November 10th at 8pm EST
  • NUMBER OF WINNERS: One
  • PRIZE SHIPS: The 50 United States
  • USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winner will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday as an update to this post. That’s right, come right back here Thursday morning for the announcement of our winner. Good luck…

******************************

And our one lucky winner (as selected by random.org) is… Hien (who’s looking to cover up some sun-drenched kitchen windows). Congrats!

Note: We weren’t paid or perk’d for hosting this giveaway, we just take them on to reward our lovely readers! See our Giveaway FAQs page for more info. Pics from Next Day Blinds.

Blind Me! I would love to cover our front door and our french doors to our 3 seasons porch with some custom blinds. I love that they let in light but I don’t like how people can just see in them. I would love custom blinds that work and not take a way from the beauty of the doors!

    BLIND ME!

This giveaway is so timely – blinds are the next thing on my home improvement list. I need to cover the balcony/street view from my condo. I don’t need to block a VIEW as much as I need to block the sun!

Thanks for the giveaway, YHL and Next Day Blinds!

Our kitchen and dining room windows are still uncovered & our neighbors can totally look right in. They’re the last windows of the house to finish, but the only rooms that aren’t facing the street or require privacy. At least that’s how I’m justifying living without window treatments for over 6 months.

We have a huge picture window in the Living Room that really needs something nice. After we bought the house our neighbors got to stare at us until my grandmother felt sorry for me and sewed some curtains. She forgot to mention that they weren’t washable and I shrunk them a few months later.

I would like to cover the view into our neighbor’s backyard. Their fence fell down three years ago (we had to call the township to get them to pick it up), they’ve never replaced it and now I get to see all the junk they have piled up behind their house. Lovely!

    Blind ME!!!!

We are closing on our first house (we put in our offer last February and were supposed to close last June) in a few weeks (praise the Lord!) and we need blinds bad! There are currently some weird curtains that half cover the large front window… and they are gaudy and terrible. I need blinds. I love our soon to be neighbors (I was so surprised when we went to see the house yet again and the neighbor we meet when we did our inspection remembered our names) but there is no way I want them seeing every move we make. There is no way I am leaving those curtains up so… help!
