Fab Freebie: Love Is Blinds

*** This giveaway is no longer accepting entries – scroll down to see who won!***

Sure, we’d all love to gaze out of our home’s windows at some breathtakingly beautiful vista. But in reality, some windows are portals to the back of the neighbor’s fence, an unwelcome glare, or even the view of a man walking around in his tighty-whities all night because he doesn’t realize his curtains are sheer (true story from my New York City days – yup, just like the naked guy from Friends). All the more reason to appreciate window coverings, like these beauties from Next Day Blinds:

NextDayBlinds Image 1

This week Next Day Blinds is shucking out $200 to one lucky lad or lady to spend towards any custom-made, premium-quality, ready-the-next-day blinds, shades, sheers, rollers, romans or even shutters. And they’ve got enough styles to make your head spin (which you can browse right here).

NextDayBlinds Image 2

Here are the giveaway deets:

  • PRIZE: $200 towards any Next Day Blinds order
  • TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “BLIND ME!” and…
  • BONUS QUESTION: …tell us about a view you wish you could cover (or are glad that you’ve already covered). Maybe the neighbors can look right into your bathroom (or vice versa)? Or you once stayed in a hotel room with a not so nice view?
  • GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, November 10th at 8pm EST
  • NUMBER OF WINNERS: One
  • PRIZE SHIPS: The 50 United States
  • USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winner will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday as an update to this post. That’s right, come right back here Thursday morning for the announcement of our winner. Good luck…

******************************

And our one lucky winner (as selected by random.org) is… Hien (who’s looking to cover up some sun-drenched kitchen windows). Congrats!

Note: We weren’t paid or perk’d for hosting this giveaway, we just take them on to reward our lovely readers! See our Giveaway FAQs page for more info. Pics from Next Day Blinds.

    BLIND ME!

All the windows in our rented townhouse are covered…but I wish I could cover the covers! They are ancient, utilitarian mini-blinds: bo-ring! I’d love to get some roman shades or some other attractive alternative in place.

    BLIND ME!
This is the most perfect giveaway! I was just about to start a search for some window coverings for our kitchen window! We have a beautiful big window, but since we have a corner lot it looks right out to the street. The problem is that our fence isn’t very high so people walking on the side walk can see pretty much everything! I don’t mind it so much since it’s the kitchen, but hubby just doesn’t like it. Here’s hoping I win!

We would LOVE to get blinds up in our condo’s living room/dining room! We live in a big city, so there isn’t much privacy if there aren’t coverings on the windows!

    BLIND ME!

My husband and I moved into our first home about 8 months ago and are in the process of getting window coverings for our multitude of windows. We have everything done except for the formal dining room (which happens to be in the front of our house and have a great view of the street – or at night, when the lights are on, a great view of us scampering around) so that is definitely where I would put this prize to use!

Blind Me…When I was in NY for new years a few years back, thousands of people were hearded/cramped into side streets. I looked up to escape the feeling of being crushed only to see 2 people on the second floor, naked, looking out there window.

Our front window in the living room has vertical blinds from … I don’t know, 1970? I’ve been begging my husband to switch them out for something more modern but the window is a weird dimension and we can’t afford the custom! This would be SO AMAZING!

We have a regular double-hung window in our shower, the same size as the rest of the windows in the house! It was crystal clear when we moved in, you could see right into the shower!
We had to cover it up with translucent film — instant fix, plus one roll covered the window perfectly!
Eventually we’ll replace it with a smaller window, but for now I still have a blurry view of the side of my neighbors house, and a worry that someone might be able to see in!
