Fab Freebie: Love Is Blinds

*** This giveaway is no longer accepting entries – scroll down to see who won!***

Sure, we’d all love to gaze out of our home’s windows at some breathtakingly beautiful vista. But in reality, some windows are portals to the back of the neighbor’s fence, an unwelcome glare, or even the view of a man walking around in his tighty-whities all night because he doesn’t realize his curtains are sheer (true story from my New York City days – yup, just like the naked guy from Friends). All the more reason to appreciate window coverings, like these beauties from Next Day Blinds:

NextDayBlinds Image 1

This week Next Day Blinds is shucking out $200 to one lucky lad or lady to spend towards any custom-made, premium-quality, ready-the-next-day blinds, shades, sheers, rollers, romans or even shutters. And they’ve got enough styles to make your head spin (which you can browse right here).

NextDayBlinds Image 2

Here are the giveaway deets:

  • PRIZE: $200 towards any Next Day Blinds order
  • TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “BLIND ME!” and…
  • BONUS QUESTION: …tell us about a view you wish you could cover (or are glad that you’ve already covered). Maybe the neighbors can look right into your bathroom (or vice versa)? Or you once stayed in a hotel room with a not so nice view?
  • GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, November 10th at 8pm EST
  • NUMBER OF WINNERS: One
  • PRIZE SHIPS: The 50 United States
  • USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winner will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday as an update to this post. That’s right, come right back here Thursday morning for the announcement of our winner. Good luck…

******************************

And our one lucky winner (as selected by random.org) is… Hien (who’s looking to cover up some sun-drenched kitchen windows). Congrats!

Note: We weren’t paid or perk’d for hosting this giveaway, we just take them on to reward our lovely readers! See our Giveaway FAQs page for more info. Pics from Next Day Blinds.

    BLIND ME!

After a week of being woken up by our dog barking at the animals who crossed our yard every night we bought curtains for the back sliding door. It was a great investment and everyone is sleeping much better now.

I was having fun clicking around this site, and then I clicked on a roman shade “design idea” my computer warned me that it was under attack by malware. Maybe just bad luck on my part, but beware that this site seems fishy to me…

I definitely want to cover the view from my kitchen of my neighbor’s air conditioner with something much nicer than the white mini blinds that came with the house.

    BLIND ME!

Our house came with some truly atrocious aluminum mini blinds in the bedrooms. They can’t go naked because they face a busy street, but I’d love to get rid of those nasty, clanky, office-y window treatments.

Ah! I just discovered your blog and love it! I’ve recently moved into my boyfriend’s home and am loving every minute of decorating the space together and combining our styles. I’m learning to compromise on the flowers and ceramic birds. ;)
We’ve been talking about replacing the tacky vertical blinds all through his house with something more sofisticated and energy efficient.

We have the ugliest entry way ever. Anytime someone new comes to the house I mentally beat myself up for not putting it’s redo at the top of the priority list. There’s a big hole in the drywall that I’d LOVE to cover up–with some more drywall.

man, i’d cover the ugliest windows you’ve ever seen! for some reason, the people who lived here before me decided to put new windows in front of the old ones. that’s right folks, they did NOT take the old ones out. so, they’re imposible to clean and it would be lovely to seen something pretty on them!

I can’t be sure, but, due to lack of stylish window treatments, I might be a culprit myself. While I can’t see clearly into the windows of the condo building across from me, I suppose I really don’t know if the same is true for them!!!
