Fab Freebie: Love Is Blinds

*** This giveaway is no longer accepting entries – scroll down to see who won!***

Sure, we’d all love to gaze out of our home’s windows at some breathtakingly beautiful vista. But in reality, some windows are portals to the back of the neighbor’s fence, an unwelcome glare, or even the view of a man walking around in his tighty-whities all night because he doesn’t realize his curtains are sheer (true story from my New York City days – yup, just like the naked guy from Friends). All the more reason to appreciate window coverings, like these beauties from Next Day Blinds:

NextDayBlinds Image 1

This week Next Day Blinds is shucking out $200 to one lucky lad or lady to spend towards any custom-made, premium-quality, ready-the-next-day blinds, shades, sheers, rollers, romans or even shutters. And they’ve got enough styles to make your head spin (which you can browse right here).

NextDayBlinds Image 2

Here are the giveaway deets:

  • PRIZE: $200 towards any Next Day Blinds order
  • TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “BLIND ME!” and…
  • BONUS QUESTION: …tell us about a view you wish you could cover (or are glad that you’ve already covered). Maybe the neighbors can look right into your bathroom (or vice versa)? Or you once stayed in a hotel room with a not so nice view?
  • GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, November 10th at 8pm EST
  • NUMBER OF WINNERS: One
  • PRIZE SHIPS: The 50 United States
  • USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winner will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday as an update to this post. That’s right, come right back here Thursday morning for the announcement of our winner. Good luck…

******************************

And our one lucky winner (as selected by random.org) is… Hien (who’s looking to cover up some sun-drenched kitchen windows). Congrats!

Note: We weren’t paid or perk’d for hosting this giveaway, we just take them on to reward our lovely readers! See our Giveaway FAQs page for more info. Pics from Next Day Blinds.

I’m looking for new shades or maybe one large shade for our LR bow window that is really large. One of our cordless shades doesn’t want to go up anymore, so we are in the market for a new shade right now. This would be awesome. :D

    BLIND ME!

We have French doors in our kitchen that lead to our backyard, and since our cars are out there, they end up being our front door. When we replaced the doors last year, we splurged on blinds built between the glass panes. Best. Thing. Ever. There is nothing worse than either showing everything you’re doing in your kitchen to the world or trying to hang blinds on an insulated metal door, and then trying to clean them when they get nasty from kitchen cooking.
    Woo hoo!

BLIND ME! I don’t have anything unsightly to cover, but the west windows in our sun porch are currently having the sun blocked by a too-small pair of IKEA curtains. They sure could use a nice matchstick roller blind upgrade.

    BLIND ME!

I just moved in to a brand new 1950’s home with a LOT of work to do. Currently we have no window coverings at all, just temporary Home Depot blinds in the bedroom.

I would like to cover the large bay window in our living room that we just installed to help cover up the NAKED woman we recently saw jogging on our street! We weren’t expecting that in our new family-friendly, suburban neighborhood!

We have those silly windows on either side of our front door–nice at times to know who is at the door, but whoever rings the bell can tell if you are at home watching tv–I feel so bad not opening the door and listening to the sales pitch from the guy or gal selling oil changes or financial services!

“Blind Me” I have some blinds from Next Day Blinds on my French doors and I absolutely love them. I have been wanting some for the kitchen window but the cost has kept me away. This may be my chance, especially since the dogs have destroyed the cheap plastic ones that were there when I bought the house! Thank you.

Blind Me! Our back door is an 8 foot glass door that leads from our back porch to our laudry room. Well that is also the main way family comes into our home and that looks into our neighbors breakfast area so of course there mornings when I have to go into the laundry room for clothes for work and there is an 8ft glass door looking out to our neighbors house and potential family just walking up!

My first apartment was right next to a fire department, and across the street from a hotel. Every time the fire trucks would roll out with their sirens on, everyone would drop what they were doing to look out the window. This frequently resulted in lots of naked strangers…definitely a view I would like to avoid most days.
