Fab Freebie: Light Up A Room (& Board)

We were so pumped when Room & Board wrote to us about doing a giveaway. Their furniture and accessories are practically the epitome of the clean-lined, comfortable-yet-sophisticated, natural-material-ed (?) aesthetic that we love. And while there’s plenty to ogle over on their site, one of their Galbraith & Paul pendant lights is officially up for grabs. There are a wide variety of graphic pattern-happy designs, so follow this link to hunt down your favorite (and we completely understand if you get sidetracked by all of the pillows while you’re there).

    I’M BOARD

    I would love some more light in our eat-in kitchen. Mornings aren’t a problem, but afternoons and evenings- it get’s so dark in there. It feels like we eat by candlelight every night. bummer!

    I am BOARD! and I would love more light in our living room. We are renting and there is no overhead light fixture. Our one floor lamp isn’t cutting it.

    I’m BOARD!!!! I have been looking for a light exactly like these to put over our table in our basement! Our basement is completely finished with a living room, bar and play area but we are definitely lacking in light down there. I’m trying to get rid of that cave feeling!

    Let there be light in my stairwell. Nice and bright and inviting, with some fun art to go with it: “Come on, folks, come on upstairs and see what’s up here!”

    A practical spot for transition within the house doesn’t need to feel like it, right?!? :)

    I’M BOARD! Our kitchen is very dark, with only one small window over the kitchen, and old ugly track lighting. We could definitely use a pretty pendant light over the table!

    Our condo only has windows/sliding glass doors on one side, so the dining area is pretty dark. A beautiful new drum pendant would be a welcome addition!

    I’m BOARD

    I would love a new light in my dining room. I recently purchased this house and it has it’s original, cheap builder grade brass 8 light chandelier. The light is so cheap that 2 of the individual lights on the chandelier are really loose and change position within minutes of being corrected! I need some style!!

    I’m BOARD!

    I am actually looking at lights exactly like this for a kitchen update we’ll be doing. We just put an offer in on a house that was built in the 80s and needs some kitchen lightening and brightening ala YoungHouseLove style LOL.

    I was thinking of a round dining table with a similar fixture over it.

    If i could pick any room in my house to makeover, it would HAVE to be the living room. im bored of the same old colors and need some up to date sophisticated lighting there. the pendant light would look fabulous there! you guys are awesome.

    Our living room is completely lamp-lit, which doesn’t quite do the job at night. I’d love to throw in some more light!

    ummm… pretty sure I’ve got no chance of winning this one, holy cow! 4600 comments, Yikes! Gotta give it a try anyway. I can think of a handful of places I would put one of these, a baby’s room, my living room, master bedroom, the basement we are finishing… crossing my little fingers!
