We were so pumped when Room & Board wrote to us about doing a giveaway. Their furniture and accessories are practically the epitome of the clean-lined, comfortable-yet-sophisticated, natural-material-ed (?) aesthetic that we love. And while there’s plenty to ogle over on their site, one of their Galbraith & Paul pendant lights is officially up for grabs. There are a wide variety of graphic pattern-happy designs, so follow this link to hunt down your favorite (and we completely understand if you get sidetracked by all of the pillows while you’re there).
Here are the deets:
- PRIZE: One Galbraith & Paul pendant (priced up to $449) from Room & Board
- TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “I’M BOARD” and…
- BONUS QUESTION: … if you could pick any room in your house to magically be more illuminated and full of light, what space would that be? Your basement? A closet? A tiny half bathroom?
- GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, October 13th at 8pm EST
- NUMBER OF WINNERS: One
- PRIZE SHIPS: The 48 contiguous United States
- USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winner will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday as an update to this post. That’s right, come right back here Thursday morning for the announcement of our winner. Good luck…

“I’M BOARD” and… I really need a new like in my bedroom. We recently moved into a new house and the like in the bedroom was two terribly bright bulbs with no possible way to attach a light shade. It has received endless confused looks from me and many other but now I am board with it.

Jennifer @ Darling Notes says
I’M BOARD… with our bedroom. We’re purchasing a new bedroom set, and the lace pendant lamp would look awesome in the room with it! Alas, the kitchen needs more lighting, too… so a pendant lamp would look great in there!
Erica says
I’M BOARD! I would love to illuminate my dining room, which is exactly where I would put such a beautiful pendant. It has this ugly light that looks like it came straight out of a boudoir, and it lets off like no light for being an overhead light. I am in LOVE with the Smokebush pendant. I like the garnet color, or ivory. That is so pretty, and would replace the ugly light so nicely!

I’M BOARD! my dining room
Ashley M says
I’M BOARD… and I would update our dining room fixture, I loooooove drum shades!

I Love those pendant lights and would love if you did a “How to” on how to make them. I have seen them made on TV, but not ‘how to’ specifically. Would love one for my dining room. We bought our house a year ago and would love to change the fixture we have for something for exciting and sophisticated.

I’M BOARD! As sad as it sounds, the room that needs more light is the living room. The half-below ground apt prevents too much natural light from sneaking in, and we just don’t have a great system yet to light the place up!

I’m Board!

I would love to have more light in our family room at night. During the day there is plenty of sun light but at night it is just too dark.
Kelly says
I’m BOARD! I’m very lucky and have good amounts of light in every room of our home. I guess I’d choose to magically have more natural light in our family room/kitchen during the morning. It faces south, so looks great in the late afternoon, but a little dim in the mornings.
