Fab Freebie: Light Up A Room (& Board)

We were so pumped when Room & Board wrote to us about doing a giveaway. Their furniture and accessories are practically the epitome of the clean-lined, comfortable-yet-sophisticated, natural-material-ed (?) aesthetic that we love. And while there’s plenty to ogle over on their site, one of their Galbraith & Paul pendant lights is officially up for grabs. There are a wide variety of graphic pattern-happy designs, so follow this link to hunt down your favorite (and we completely understand if you get sidetracked by all of the pillows while you’re there).

    I’M BOARD!

    I would choose our office/guest bedroom! Because, umm, it doesn’t have any lights in it at all right now. Seriously. No overhead lighting and we don’t have enough lamps for every room! Yeah, I need to make an IKEA run ASAP.

    I’M BOARD! And we just knocked down the wall that separates our kitchen and dining room, and now I need a fabulous new light fixture for the beautiful new space! I think I NEED that Zinnia pendant! :) Thanks for the giveaway!

    I’M BOARD!

    Just moved into a new apartment… all of the light fixtures are nasty.. so I’d die to have any of my rooms spruced! But probably the living room area because it’s the most used space. :)

    I’M BOARD! My incredible husband, who is an author of more than four successful novels, has been chugging away hour after hour in his tiny little office, which is lit by a few bare bulbs on the ceiling. There is nothing I would love more than to illuminate his space!

    I’M BOARD…We don’t have a lot of natural lighting in our house which didn’t bother me before but now I wish I had more lighting everywhere so my candid pictures would come out better. If I had to choose it would be our family room because that is where we spend most of our time!

    I’m Board!!
    My kitchen needs more light even with my big slider and window due to the pergola in the backyard. Someday we plan on skylights 3 across to really bring in some natural light but that is a ways away. This is an awesome giveaway; Thank you!!!

    I’M BOARD!
    (One of these lights would be the perfect replacement for the hideous light fixture in my living room!)

    I could definitely use more light in my bedroom–there’s no ceiling fixture in there, and very few power outlets to plug lamps in to (and one of the outlets has been painted over so many times that it’s completely useless! Ack!)

    I’M BOARD! Our living room is like a dungeon, with only one natural light source covered most of the time with dark curtains to help keep out the heat down here in Jacksonville. I just painted our fireplace after seeing the pictures of your living room, but I’d love to brighten it up even more!

    I’M BOARD….and I wish our kitchen table could shine in its true beauty underneath better lighting. With new lighting, the kitchen table could go through its own 1980s-movie-esque metamorphosis…like the removal of eyeglasses/shaking hair out of a braid or bun, whereupon it turns magically into va-va-voom! One can dream. :)

    I’M BORED!!!
    I would love more light in my son’s nursery…we have the window covered with a dark shade to keep the light out for those naps and when he is napping 3 times a day I don’t move it in between.

    I’M BOARD!

    Our kitchen, right above our table. A few months after we moved my boyfriend broke the globe on our light fixture and we have yet to replace it. The kitchen can be really dark and dreary.
