Fab Freebie: Light Up A Room (& Board)

We were so pumped when Room & Board wrote to us about doing a giveaway. Their furniture and accessories are practically the epitome of the clean-lined, comfortable-yet-sophisticated, natural-material-ed (?) aesthetic that we love. And while there’s plenty to ogle over on their site, one of their Galbraith & Paul pendant lights is officially up for grabs. There are a wide variety of graphic pattern-happy designs, so follow this link to hunt down your favorite (and we completely understand if you get sidetracked by all of the pillows while you’re there).

    I’m board!
    I wish our living room was brighter in the evening–We have large windows that light up the place like a christmas tree during the day, but the light fixtures we currently have in the room doesn’t do it justice when it get’s dark out.

    My living room needs more light! It gets so much sunlight during the day, but at night it’s so dim that it looks dingy and dirty.

    I’m Board! I haven’t been able to update the light over my kitchen table and it’s screaming for something modern and quirky. My budget won’t allow for what I really want, so I’ve been putting up with a hideous chandelier for much too long. Pick me!

    I’M BOARD! We’re lucky to get tons of natural light throughout our house EXCEPT in our guest bedroom. I’d love to brighten that up a bit! (Awesome giveaway!)

    I’m BOARD! If I could pick a room to be magically lighted, it would be my living room… there isn’t any overhead lighting, and it would be nice if installation of some could be done by magic.

    I’M BOARD!
    My dining room is in serious need of a new light fixture. We bought our house in May and have *slowly* been refinishing each room. I have a beautiful dining set picked out from Cost Plus and Room & Board’s Smokebush Large Pendant in Orange would be absolutely perfect to swag over it. If I could only attach a photo of the currnet hideous circa 1990 white ceiling fan with the oddest glass shade you have ever seen.

    I’m BOARD! My bedroom has one little sconce type light. At night, when I’m getting dressed for work, I can barely see my clothes. I LOVE LOVE LOVE Room & Board. When I lived in SF I would wander around the showroom for hours. Of course I couldn’t afford anything then, but now I have no showroom close by, and I can afford at least something. I digress!

    I’M BOARD!

    I’d love to add a great fixture to our master bedroom. It has this awful fan that has yellowy light fixtures on it. I have painted and decorated, but alas. That is the reminder of the previous resident’s taste. And, it just makes everything look pee-stained. Ick.

    I’m board, all my clothes look alike because my closet is dark and all the clothes are black! It could really use some great, hip lighting!

    I’m board! There is no main light source in my family room, and it always feels sooo dark. A bright, pendant lamp would be just the thing :)

    I’d pick our living room to be more sunny. It hardly gets any direct sun during the day, so any plants that I put in there usually die.

    I’m Board! I’d say our living room…it’s darker than I’d like. Though we do need lighting for a soon-to-be nursery, too.

    I totally love the Mum Medium Pendant and I can see it in the redo of my master bedroom that I’m currently plotting.

    But really, the room that needs the lighting help is our office. It’s sad in there…
