Fab Freebie: Light Up A Room (& Board)

We were so pumped when Room & Board wrote to us about doing a giveaway. Their furniture and accessories are practically the epitome of the clean-lined, comfortable-yet-sophisticated, natural-material-ed (?) aesthetic that we love. And while there’s plenty to ogle over on their site, one of their Galbraith & Paul pendant lights is officially up for grabs. There are a wide variety of graphic pattern-happy designs, so follow this link to hunt down your favorite (and we completely understand if you get sidetracked by all of the pillows while you’re there).

    I’m Board… for sure it would be my daughter’s room which is completely lighting-free unless you count the ceiling fan with a light on it… and I don’t!

    I’M BOARD!! I would love one of these lights for my dining room, I have a a pre-war era home with french door between built-ins that open to a screened in porch. The only down fall is the porch blocks the natural light from entering the room.

    *gasp!* Those pendants are GORGEOUS! I’d love to get a new light for our new little man’s room (due Nov. 23rd)! Right now, there’s an icky white and gold ceiling fan in there!!

    Living room, definitely. I would love it if that room was nothing but glass – I love the idea of having as much natural light as possible. Of course, as I feel it needs more light, that’s where the pendant will go.

    The basement, definitely. Our house is lovely and open and bright, but our basement is unfinished, so it’s the darkest place! Once it’s finished (someday!), we’ll be able to have more light down there.

    Oh my gosh Oh my gosh Oh my gosh!!! I won?!?!?! This is so thrilling. I called everyone I know to share the news when I got the email. I screamed when I read it and my (20 month old) son, Eliott, came running into the room saying “Mama, Mama?” in this adorably concerned tone. I seriously was just excited at the CHANCE to win one of these, but the fact that I actually did is kind of magical!! Anyway, I chose the Zinnia Medium Pendant in the cool color. We just upsized to a new home that is 82 years old. As we update it we would like to keep the original charm. That style seemed like a good bridge between the old and new. We’ll be sure to email some pics when we get it up. Thanks again for making my day magical!
